Highschool

You have a crush. She was cute, sporty.
Basically everyone's type.
All your friends are shipping you two together.
You loved it. Until...

SEPTEMBER

You befriended one of her friends.
Your classmate introduced you to her.

She was funny, cute, smart, and beautiful.
She wears glasses, cute.
She instantly caught your eye.

Yet you tell everyone she's not your type...
That you already have a crush.
That she's straight, and you will never like her.

You knew it was a lie.

OCTOBER

You confessed to your crush, the sporty one.

I mean of course it would be her.
You don't like anyone else.

She told you she still have someone from her past.
But for some reason, you were okay with it.

You knew she was the reason.

You and glasses started talking everyday, every night.
You always hung out at school, you loved spending time with her.
She was always jokingly flirting with you.
You didn't think much of it, she was straight.

Atleast you thought she is.

OCTOBER 30-31

She made an alt account, said it was her cousin.
She was planning to prank you with it.

You knew it was her. You didn't know how, but you did.

What she didn't plan,
was that she would confess from that account.
As her "cousin", saying your friend has a crush on you.
It was the least you could have expected to happen.

You thought she was straight.

You told her "cousin" you felt the same about her.
She never expected you to like her too.
But how could you not?
When there is everything about her to love?

NOVEMBER

Everything was going well.
You were so happy.
It was everything you could have ever wanted.
She was everything you could have ever wanted.

NOVEMBER 4

Today's your birthday.
She wrote a long, heartfelt message to congratulate you.
It was thoughtful, and adorable.

You loved it. You loved her.

The school field trip came.
You spent the whole day together.
It was kind of like your first date.

You wished this day will never end.

NOVEMBER 19

Today's her birthday.
It was your turn to write her a long, and heartfelt message.
She loved it. She loved you.
But...

She told you her parents found out about the two of you.
They said it was wrong, and is a sin.
But how could a love, as pure as yours, ever be a sin?
You never understood it.

She said you can't hang out with her anymore.
Her parents forbid it.
But she still hung out with you anyway.
She didn't care if her parents will get mad at her for it.

You told her you can't hang out in person.
You couldn't let her suffer from her parents because of that.
So you messaged, and called her everyday instead.
It was hard, but it was for her own good.

After that, everything was going well.
You still talk everyday.
Write heartfelt messages to each other.
And secret holding of hands when you walk past each other.

APRIL 12

The new dog your family just got a few months ago just died.
It feels like a part of you just died too.
You couldn't stop crying, you couldn't calm down.
But she was there for you, she was the only one who could calm you down.

She stayed up late at night just to comfort you.
You were thankful that she was always there for you.
She was everything you could have asked for.
You loved her so much.

MAY

The end of the school year was coming.
There has been a lot of difficulties in both of your lives.
She was always pressured to be perfect.
You feel like you're never enough for your parents.

She always feel like she's doing something wrong.
That's what her parents made her feel everyday.
So she feels like she'll never be enough for you, too.
But that's not true. She was everything you could have asked for.

But she doesn't realize that.
She started drifting away from you.
And she told you that you have to let her go.
Because she feels like she's not enough for you.

You told her that she is.
But if she really wants to end it, it's up to her.
You told her you would wait for her.
You didn't want to give up on your relationship. You couldn't.

You stopped talking.
It breaks your heart everyday.
It feels like a part of you is missing.
She is missing.

END OF JULY-PRESENT DAY

It's the start of the school year.
You see her again, it breaks your heart.
You still love her.
As much as you did the first time you told her that you do.

You're still waiting for her.
You don't think you will ever stop waiting.

You tell yourself that you would move on, but...
Deep down you know that you will always wish that,
that missing part of you will find its way back to you.
That she will find her way back to you.
