With a pounding headache and sore body, my eyes fluttered open and were met with an unfamiliar room. I tried to get up but my hands were handcuffed to the bed post above my head. ‘Perfect, just perfect’ I thought sarcastically as I fiddled with the handcuffs that dangled with each of my moves. For a kidnapped person I sure as hell was calm.

Then suddenly my thoughts drifted to my little brother and my parents and I wasn’t calm anymore. What if these people really planned on killing me? I’ll never see my parents or my brother ever again. That thought alone was enough to make the bile rise up my throat and the tears to prickle in my eyes. Couple of minutes later as I composed myself forcing my brain to find a way out, the door opened and I turned my head to the side immediately refusing to look at whoever entered.

“Hey Carly.” It was Andrew but I wasn’t going to talk to him or even look at him. Yes, at first I thought he was a nice guy, but now…not so much. Not a second later the door swung open again and this time I presumed it was that jerk Skylar. Well, I definitely wouldn’t look at him; that was for sure.

“Oh god, what have you done to the poor girl?” Skylar being sympathetic? Wait a minute, it was a girl’s voice. A very soft one too. I snapped my head in her direction and was met with the same girl that came to my class together with Skylar and Andrew. What was her name…? Oh, Rosalie. She was the most beautiful girl I have ever seen. She had straight, dark brown hair that fell over her shoulders and curled at the ends and beautiful blue-green eyes.

“It was Skylar, not me.” Andrew defended himself as he raised his hands. Rosalie crossed her arms in front of her chest and glared at him.

“I don’t care who it was. This girl is going to be released right now or else” She threatened and hit him on the arm as if to prove her point. Just as Andrew was about to comment something, the door yet again swung open and this time I really didn’t want to see who it was.

“What’s the matter here?” Skylar asked from the doorway as he leaned on the doorframe with his arms crossed in front of his chest, an arrogant smirk on his face. I huffed and turned to stare at the other side. Stupid, conceited, arrogant jerk! My eyeballs would probably dry out if I continued to stare at him. Although I would also dehydrate from drooling if I look at him…Never mind!

“Skylar!” Rosalie cried. “How could you do this to an innocent girl like her?”

“Excuse me? There isn’t anything innocent about her. And if she came willingly instead of running away she wouldn’t be in this mess!” That was kinda directed at me. So what?! I sure as hell wouldn’t come willingly with him of all people.

“It doesn’t matter what she did. I want you to release her. NOW! Or else Daddy will find out what’s going on here.”

Ooh this was getting just better and better. In my head I thanked Rosalie for sticking on my side, cause god knows I needed it.

“Hmph, Dad already knows about her.” A smug look covered his face. “In fact he’s on his way over here to meet her.” A glaring contest between the two engaged and I almost thought it was going to end in bloodshed.

“Excuse me,” I coughed to get their attention. “Um would you mind getting this freaking handcuffs off of me?!”

“Here, I’ll do it.” Andrew said as he moved towards the bed. My hands were already asleep and numb so I was really thankful when he unlocked them and slid them off my wrists. I scooted to the end of the bed, until my back hit the bed post and rubbed my aching wrists. Skylar turned his attention to me and pointed his long, slender finger in my direction.

“If you move a muscle princess, I’ll blow your brains out.” In my response I just glared at him and just to anger him more I stood up, moving more than one muscle. Anger flashed into his eyes as he was ready to spring at me but luckily for me a voice stopped him.
