Like a date? - Aj Shabeel

I mixed povs cause I was rushing lmaao hope it is still enjoyable.

"Are you free on this Saturday?"

A notification from Niko popped up on your phone as you hesitate whether to reply or not.

After thinking about it for a second, you tapped on the notification and typed out a response.

"Why?"

A simple response, very neutral. You're feeling a bit lazy to do anything during weekends so, it'll depend on what his plan are to know whether you'll be up for it or not.

After a minute, you received a response from him.

"You, Deji, Aj, and I in a general knowledge for a NDL filming."

Ah, there it is. Of course the tall giraffe would use that against you. Ever since he knew, no. Since he figured out your infatuation with Aj he never gave you a break since then. He constantly teased you about it. The tall man always knew things most people doesn't notice or doesn't want to notice.

But knowing him, he'll probably just brush it off since that's not a surprise that Niko and Aj consistently appears on each other's channel. then Deji, who is slowly becoming part of the circle since spending time with him are happening a lot this times which is good for him, the man is a nice guy after all.

And general knowledge? That's not new on Beta Squad if you're familiar with their videos but people seem to enjoy it still, and so the guys too. Knowing yourself, you did well academically and can still recall some of the general facts a person should learn from school.

A dilemma on behalf of wanting to rest during the weekends but the other half is spending time with your friends. You sighed softly and decided that losing one rest day for your friends is worth a lot.

"Alright, send me the location and time"

You closed the app and wander off to tiktok and scroll to a lot of videos until you fall asleep. Letting yourself relax and not overthink about what may the future presents to your life.

A few days passed on so quickly. Finding yourself seated in a studio next to Aj with lights, led lights, wires, camera crew, and a lot of equipment surrounding the area. As usual, Niko's making extra sure with the production and the other's were most likely trolling each other around set.

Usually, you're not the type to be nervous in front of a camera, hell it's the main thing you do for a living. But somehow, sitting in a close proximity next to Aj is giving your stomach unexplainable things and getting yourself look too uneasy and uncomfortable.

"are you alright?" Aj said when he glanced at your direction.

"I'm fine. I'm just having some thoughts, nothing too serious" You said as you forced a smile with him.

"Are you sure?" Aj said skeptically. 

"We can get some drinks or snacks to munch nearby" Aj added with a soft look on his eyes.

"Yeah, I'm alright, I swear" You said as you avoided your gaze.

The uncomfortable silence continued for a while until Niko started to gather all of the people to be filmed in a circle. In the background being the set  of two table separated in a respectful distance and a two chairs behind each table. Niko started the intro by introducing the game. Then one by one started to make their intro by saying a few lines about the upcoming game.

"Contestants, the four of you will be grouped into two. Two teams competing in a general knowledge game. The groupings will be in a piece of paper that will be handed to you" A voice echoed in the studio.
