The guy standing infront of you waits in anticipation for you to shake his outstretched hand, "Connie Springer at your service," He says, smiling a charming smile revealing his straight, pearly white teeth.

You're stuck in time, unable to move. Connie springer. He has the same last name as your father, so that meant there could be a possibility that they were related.

Oh God.

Could he be?

You avert your eyes away from his hazel ones. His hand drops as he raises an eyebrow, a puzzled look falls over his face. Reiner sighs in annoyance as he steps in between you and Connie. "Look, I knew that you were going to waste his time. I shouldn't have called him out to speak to you," He says, his voice booming over the sounds of the city.

"I'm sorry," you say, "I just-"

"No," Reiner interjects firmly, his voice devoid of emotion, "You should leave,"

You mentally scold yourself for not being able to speak your mind, you try and search for the right words to say but you can't bring yourself to speak. The time when you needed your voice the most, it fails on you.

You're about to protest when you feel Reiner's strong hand grip your arm tightly, "Come on let's go,"

"Wait," you plead, but he was relentless as he nearly drags you away from Connie.

"Braun stop," Connie's voice speaks from behind Reiner, his hand reaching over as he loosens Reiner's grip on your arm. Connie shoves Reiner back as he turns to check if you were okay

"What the fuck are you doing man?" Connie asks, his eyebrows are knitted together and his cheeks turn red with anger as he turns to Reiner "You can't be grabbing on women like this. How much fucking times do I have to tell you that this is not how we handle females at this establishment," Connie says, his hand reaching to take yours.

Reiner lets go of your arm and steps back, "I-I'm sorry," he says apologetically

Connie turns toward him, his hand still clutching yours, "Just leave man," he says "I'll deal with you when I'm done here,"

Reiner glares at you, his hands balled together in tight fists, "But Connie-"

"Go," Connie spits, gesturing to the club's entrance

Reiner huffs and shoots you one last look filled with anger before turning to walk away. Only once you see him enter the club do you feel yourself calming down. You feel an ache in your arm from the way he grabbed onto you.

Connie's face softens as he turns his attention back to you "I'm sorry about Reiner," he apologises, "He has issues - and I'm not trying to make any excuses for the way that he behaved right now,"

You force yourself to look him in the eyes, pushing back the millions of thoughts running wild through your mind, "It's okay. I shouldn't have come,"

Connie shakes his head, "No. No don't say that. I didn't get your name Miss..."

"YN,"

"Okay YN tell me what is it that I can help you with because I can tell that it must be really important,"

You contemplate whether or not you should just leave or whether you should speak to him "I don't think you can help me honestly,"

Connie smiles, "Try me,"

You look down at your hand, still clutching the note. You couldn't believe you were going through all this trouble to speak to someone you've never met. Was it even worth it?
