"OMG. I cannot believe it! I am going to Romania for the best gymnastics program in the world!" Lakshmana Roshan squealed with excitement: he was actually going there! As he started packing, he couldn't control the giddiness inside, but he would miss his family dearly and he promised to keep in touch with them.
"Laksh, did you pack everything you need?", called his mother Queen Sumitra. "Yeah yeah, I have got everything I need, mom." As Laksh finished up packing, he couldn't help but stare at his acceptance letter from the academy and smile. This was it: he would be on the path to become an elite level gymnast, which he had been working on since he was 2 years old.
5 days later:
At the airport, Laksh was preparing to leave for Romania, making sure in his mind that he had everything he needed. He kept stealing glances at his family, making sure he would never forget them in Romania.
He huddled with his family to say goodbye to them. One by one, he started hugging them as they bid farewell to him. He walked away to the gate, knowing full well that this would be a journey full of surprises, coaching, and lots of flips and sore muscles.
