Daughter of Poseidon

CHAPTER 1

I know I am a Half Blood known for awhile....but did I know my own younger brother Percy was a Half Blood, it took him awhile to be calmed or even notice things, to him to it was normal and also to me it was normal so we saw it that way, not other people though they thought we was making things up or we was just weird. We both have ADHD and Dyslexia, very common in half bloods but yet Percy still didn't know. I went to Camp every Summer as I was a bit older than Percy and was claimed by my father Poseidon....yes thee Poseidon the God of the Sea, Earthshaker, Stormbringer, Father of Horses, Hail. Blah blah you know the story. Never saw him to be honest last time I saw him was when Percy was born then he never came back, I was only claimed by him when I accidentally flooded the school, that was fun but not for the school I was kicked out and my mom had to find me a new one.
Camp was fun I had my friends Annabeth and Grover and Luke. Me and Annabeth talked about loads of stuff, she loved her architecture, as the daughter of Athena is was fitting. Then we had Grover the satyr half goat half human, he was fun made everyone laugh, ate a lot of tin cans tho, but sometimes he went out of camp as he was assigned to be Percy's protector so when the time was right hopefully he would come to camp. Then last but not least there was Luke, everyone liked Luke he was the son of Hermes, Head Councillor of the Hermes Cabin like I was in the Poseidon Cabin as I was the only Demigod there... Well until Percy arrived. Me and Luke got along the most we trained together was on the same team in Capture the Flag. I always had a soft spot for Luke, the truth was I liked Luke, I had a crush on him who wouldn't he was amazing, the only person who knew was Annabeth she would tease me about it sometimes but it was all good cause we laughed about it.

Let me introduce myself I am Lyra Sally Jackson, I am 14 years old. I was a troubled kid went to the boarding school but every summer came to Camp Half Blood to train and be the best I could to make my father happy. My favourite thing to do at Camp was playing Capture the Flag, I was unstoppable with a sword I had my own that my father gave me one day as a gift, just like Annabeth has her Invisibility Cap from her mother Athena. There will be more to learn about me as we go along.

"Miss Jackson... MISS JACKSON!!" shouted my Pre-Algebra teacher Mrs Dodds "Yes Mrs Dodds.. Sorry I was thinking about something"
"Are you ok Lyra you seen distracted you love this museum always begged Mom to take use on your birthday..." Percy spoke after Mrs Dodds randomly disappeared, but deep down I knew something was different with this trip, I came here loads before with just Percy and my Mom and I never felt something like this before so I mainly distracted by that but I couldn't let Percy know it will scare him and plus make him confused about the whole Demigod, our dad being Poseidon type of thing. "no I am fine Percy just it distracted by the history of this place just keep listening to Mr Brunner, he is your favourite teacher afterall" I said back to Percy who went bright red cause all he ever spoke about at home to mom was about how cool Mr Brunner is and that he taught him so many interesting things. But I knew he was here to watch over Grover and Percy I was just there cause I only went to Camp in the Summer but I know when I leave school I will join camp more often maybe only come back for Christmas, I just wanted to train and train and make my name known in Mount Olympus.
It was lunch time and I sat by Percy and Grover, I wanted to get some food from the food truck by the museum cause I didn't make lunch, so I dragged Grover with me "This trip doesn't feel right Grover, I have been here many times and I have never felt so weird before something is here that I think could hurt Percy" I whispered to Grover in hopes nobody was listening.
"I don't smell any monsters Lyra and if I did I would have told you and warned Mr Brunner and got Percy straight out of here..."
"I know I know but it Mrs Dodds she doesn't seem to fit in here, I have had this feelings for awhile but now it's stronger and I am getting more worried" Grover looked at me he knew I was never wrong so he kept a closer look out just in case as I brought my food and went to warn Mr Brunner.
As I was telling Mr Brunner what I told Grover we suddenly heard a scream from the fountain. Nancy Bobofit was in the middle of the fountain with Percy standing there in anger and shocked, I guessing the time was getting closer than we would have liked Percy used his God powers that we have cause of our father, just hopefully nobody saw that we didn't want seeing.
"PERCY PUSHED ME!!" was all you could hear from Nancy as Mrs Dodds went over and spoke to Percy, but this wasn't the Mrs Dodds I knew she was changing was she walked to Percy I knew something was wrong. Mr Brunner gave me the look I knew what I had to do I got my sword and ran to protect Percy I jumped onto the fountain and threw my sword toward Mrs Dodds and has it hit her she turned into dust "Lyra.. How... What... What happened..."
Percy looked confused he didn't know what just happened. "Percy I will explain everything later we need to get going" Percy looked more confused when I said I would explain everything to him later, but I knew he wanted one now which I sadly couldn't do at this moment.
We got back to school and Grover and Percy had a meeting with the Principal, I knew what it was for so I went to Mr Brunner to have a talk about earlier and if it was time for me and my mom to explain the whole 'your dad is a Greek God you need to go the camp Lyra goes to' that will confuse his head even more and now he might be getting kicked out of school. In my family my mom set a rule if one gets kicked out we both move, I knew why cause it was safer for me to be around him incase what happened at the museum happened again.
