CH:5 The past.

Calline's pov:

I went back to our table with the food in my hands and there i can see Yves tweaking in her seat with excitement in her eyes.

“ Calline!! ” she screamed as she ran to me and hugged me.

Lah?? LAH?? LAHHHHH!???

I tried to hide my nervousness and blush as she hugged me much tighter “ Woah! Ba't bigla kang naging energetic ngayon Yves? May nangyari ba?? ” i asked confusingly because of her sudden move.

“ O to the M to the G!! Calline my friends are coming back!! ” she said excitingly and it somehow made me happy to see her happy too.

“ Congrats then , kailan daw sila babalik? ” i said warmly as she break the hug and went back to her seat.

“ About next week daw , excited na'ko my gosh! ” she said as she took a bite to her burger.

“ Yves , okay lang sa'yo if tanungin ko kung bakit sila umalis? ” i asked as Yves gulped the part of the burger she bite.

“ Well...”

Past timeline.

Yves's pov:

It was a year ago when our we built our friendship. Yes , we built our friendship only for one year but they already had a special place in my heart and i bet they do too. It was all fine not until so many tragic happened between us , it's not about our friendship though. It's about their family and yeah lahat sila umalis ng Pilipinas dahil sa pamilya nila and ako lang yung naiwan , i don't blame their family though , i think their reasons are valid naman so i didn't complain about it especially i can always wait for them to come back.

So here it is , first of all is Ate Alliyah. She left because her parents told her na lumayo sa amin dahil bad influence daw kami.

“ Alliyah sinasabi ko sa'yo bad influence yang mga kaibigan mo!! ” Alliyah's dad shouted.

She tried to fight for us pero wala talaga.

“ But Dad! They're not changing anything to me plus sila lang yung matitinong kaibigan ko!! ” Alliyah shouted back at her dad.

Nilipat siya ng U.S for a few months para daw "magbago" yung ugali niya.

“ Mamimiss ka namin ate Ali.. ” Sarah said as she sniffled and hugged ate Ali.

“ We'll wait for you to come back ate Ali..” i sobbed as i hugged ate Ali too.

“ Mamimiss kita ate Ali , lalo na wala nang aawat samin ni Sarah pag nag-aaway kami..” We all chuckled with what Stella said but at the same time crying as we hug ate Ali.

“ I'll be back girls , i promise.” Ate Ali said before she broke the hug and went to the airplane.

And for Sarah , she needed to move to Canada kasi nagkasakit ang Mama niya and her Dad couldn't find any proper treatment sa Philippines.

They tried everything they could kaso wala talaga kaya lumipat nalang sila.

“ Una si ate Ali , ngayon ikaw naman? ” i asked while crying as i hugged her.

“ Sorry ate Yves , di'ko kakayanin kung mawawala si Mommy eh. Dito muna kayo ha? Babalik din ako promise. ” Sarah said while sobbing and patting mine and Stella's back.

“ Basta pagbalik mo away ulit tayo ha? ” Stella sniffled as she hugged Sarah.

“ Gaga ka talaga ate Stell , oo mag-aaway tayo kahit ilang beses mo pa gusto pagbalik ko hm? Sige na , goodbye na muna sa ngayon mga ate mamimiss ko kayo. ” Sarah said before she left.

And now the last but not the least is Stella , she had depression after her parents's died on a tragic car accident.

“ Stell naman eh , wag mo naman saktan sarili mo. Tayo nalang magkasama oh. ” i begged her as tears fell on my cheeks.

“ Ano pa silbi ng buhay ko kung wala na yung magulang ko? Tangina! Ba't kinailangan nila mawala nang maaga! ” Stella shouted as tears fell on her cheeks.

A few weeks after her parents death , she stopped eating properly nor sleeping.

She's starting to look different from who she is and it's starting to making me worry.

Until sa hindi ko na kinaya yung ginagawa niya sa sarili niya , awang awa na'ko sakanya so i called out for her aunt to look after her hanggang sa gumaling siya sa depression niya.

“ Stell , i'm sorry pero papadala muna kita sa tita mo ah? I'm sorry talaga , di kasi kita maalagaan kapag nasa school ako. I'm worried na baka kung ano gawin mo while i'm away from you. I already packed your things na lahat yun pink ha? Tas sabi ni tita ite-therapy ka daw. You'll get through this Stella , mahal ka namin. Nandito lang kami hm? Intayin ka namin bumalik Stella. ” i hugged her as i spoke. Di ko na kasi kayang makita siya nang ganito , it hurts to see our most energetic friend become the coldest among us.

I thought she's going to be mad but she didn't, instead she smiled warmly and genuine as she started to speak for the first time in a while after her parents death.

“ Thank you Yves , i'll make sure that i'll get better tas babalik ulit ako dito para makasama ulit kayo. Mahal ka din namin , thank you din for staying strong and taking care of me Yves. Thank you for being there. Alagaan mo muna sarili mo while we're gone hm? Babalik din ako once i'm better, promise. ” she said before she get in to the car of her tita and left.

Then there ako nalang ang natira pero hindi doon natapos ang lahat because we all still have contact with each other pa naman that's why our bond is still alive between us.

They promise to come back here to Philippines to rebuilt our friendship that's why i'm very excited nung sinabi nila na babalik na sila.

I missed them so much.

Present timeline

“ And that's the story! ” i said as i took a sip on my juice.

She had a very warm smile on her face and looked directly in my eyes as she started speaking “ Wag ka mag-alala , lagi lang ako nandito para sa'yo Yves.” i smiled back as she said that and it made me feel much safe with her.

“ Thank you Cal. ”

“ You're always welcome Yves. ”
