Ollie has settled down a little bit more so we were able to talk. I can tell that she's still having a hard time though. The look on her face and the way she'll space out, I know she's having doubts. I just try my best to have her talk as much as possible so that she can't space out so much and it seems to be working. We're deep into conversation about online shopping versus in person shopping when my monitor goes off. Way to ruin the mood.

Luckily since I'm right next door, I tell Ollie that I'll be right back and start walking to my house. But I actually take my car and park it in the driveway first because it was on the side of Ollie's house before. I also take my backpack so I don't have to put it back later. After parking my car in the driveway, I go inside and grab a banana and an apple juice and start eating the banana while I bring my backpack up to my room with Bella trailing after me. After I eat my banana I chug my apple juice and change my outfit real quick to sweats and a basketball sweatshirt from my old school; we haven't gotten my current basketball team sweats and the other crap yet. Finally I go downstairs and give Bella a few belly rubs and scratches before I have to leave again. this dog is seriously one of the most needy dogs ever I swear, if you leave the house without playing with her, Scratching her, or anything that requires your attention being on her, she will sit at the door and cry. After I've decided that Bella is satisfied, I stand back up and say goodbye to her and go back out the garage and close it behind me.

I walk back through Ollie's garage and close it before going back inside. I take off my shoes and walk into the living room and huff out a laugh. Ollie is fast asleep on the couch. She's curled up into a ball; she looks like a big ball of blankets. I sit down next to my little ball and think. I think about our conversation and what it means for us. We never said if we're together but I think all it'll take is me asking her. But I need to do it special because she's my person and I want her to know I think she's different.

I have a basketball game coming up on Friday. It's the first one of the season. It's just a starter so we're not going against anyone crazy good. One nice thing though is because this is a smaller team, you almost always will get floor time. Seriously we only have like 10 guys on our team not including junior varsity and the middle schoolers.

I suddenly hear a noise and it takes me a moment to register that it was Sof's baby monitor. I grab the monitor from beside Ollie and see that Sof is up. I hurry upstairs and luckily I'm able to locate which room is hers because it has her name on the door. I walk into the room and see her sitting on her bed with her arms up ready to get out. I pick her up and bring her downstairs. She still feels feverish and warm but she hasn't puked. I lay down next to Ollie because luckily she has a huge couch, and lay Sof on my chest. I know she's still sleepy because she was only asleep for like an hour and a half. we stay like this until she is relaxed and has fallen back asleep on my chest and I start to feel myself drift off as well and I let sleep take hold.

I open my eyes and see that I'm in the living room. I lay there for a second and remember what happened the past hour. It makes my heart flutter. I look around and see Charlie and Sofia both laying close to me fast asleep with Sofia on his chest. It melts my heart to see them together like that.

As if Sofia senses I'm awake, she starts to wiggle around and looks up at me. I walk over to them and try to wriggle her out of his embrace. At least I know that she wouldn't have fallen off of him, his grip on her is like a rock. Finally I finagle her out and feel her forehead. She's still warm so I decide to give her some Tylenol. I go over to our medicine cabinet and find what I'm looking for and give her the correct dosage. I grab her sippy from the fridge and hand it to her as she starts drinking. I hear someone in the living room and a minute later Charlie shows up in the kitchen. "You almost gave me a heart attack, I thought Sof had rolled off me."

I look at the floor suddenly shy and reply, "Sorry."

He suddenly gets super close to me and forces my chin up to him. "Don't you dare start that with me."

"I'm not going to have you acting all weird and shy now that things are changing in our relationship. If there's something you're concerned about you need to tell me. Do you understand?"

I could see all the emotions in his eyes. Fear, hurt, anger, frustration, all of it. "Yea I understand."

"Good. Because that's not how our relationship is going to be. We're going to communicate and share things with each other. Because that's what you do in a relationship." He stated with conviction. He backs away and turns around rubbing a hand over his face.

"I don't know how else to tell you this, Ollie. I don't know why you don't think you're enough. I'm asking to be with you! I just want you to accept that you're enough. Because I know that's what that panic attack that you had was about earlier."

"I'm going to leave now and let you think, but I want you to be ready tonight. I'm going to take you somewhere. My parents can watch your siblings; they love them. Be ready by 5 Ok? And dress warm." He turns and walks out and puts on his shoes and leaves.
