Wednesday soon arrived. Austin had already arrived there, waiting in his Porsche with the engine on as he sat in the drivers seat. He had Autumn beside him as he drummed his fingers against the steering wheel as he waited.
You, in your usual fashion, are taking your time making sure you look cute as you do your makeup in the car.
Austin's eyes rake over you as you get out of the car, taking in your appearance. He always knew you loved looking your best and you definitely knew what you were doing when it came to it. The old him would be going crazy right now.
Autumn speeds past Austin and runs over to you. You hug her. Austin couldn't help but chuckle as Autumn once again ignored him and came running to you instead. He watches on as she ran to you. He had to suppress a scoff as he watched her, attaching herself to you even though it had only been 2 days apart. But it was hard.
"You wanna get some food with her, or, just take her to the park..., or-" you come up with a few suggestions.
"Food is fine. She hasn't eaten." He nodded, answering shortly as he fully steps out the car, shutting the door behind him. He looks up from where he was watching Autumn, his jaw tending as he looks at you."Alright. You're paying." You smile, trying to retrieve that old friendly banter you used to have together, but clearly he's not in the mood for it.
Austin rolled his eyes once again as you mention him paying. Right now, he definitely didn't enjoy this whole 'amicable' thing you where trying to do.
"Obviously I'm paying." He mutters under his breath as he starts to walk.
You follow him desperately, you didn't walk as fast as him. He keeps eyes forwards, steps quick and heavy.
"You could atleast be civil, Austin. For Autumn." You snap.
He lets out a bitter chuckle at you calling him out on his behaviour his hands slowly clenching into fish. "Maybe YOU should think about our daughter for a change." He snaps back as he keeps walking, Autumn skipping ahead.
You are so angry, you have nothing to say. You watch him stride forward, in his stupid little uptight branded outfit. Your gaze goes from his dumb haircut, to his dumb clothes and to his stupidly handsome face.
Why did he always have to look so good?
It wasn't fair. With those stupid pants that wrapped around his legs, and that dumb shirt that outlined his muscular physique in the most annoyingly attractive way. Even the way he walked was unfairly hot. His long, powerful strides. You had to bite your lip as you watched him, praying he wouldn't turn around and see you checking him out.
We enter the restaurant, and Austin keeps walking straight to a booth and sitting down at it. His jaw still tense. Autumn instantly ran to the small playground with some other kids, leaving you alone.
He continues to quietly watch you as you sit across from him. His eyes roamed over you. For once, you looked completely free of makeup and dressed casually, but in his eyes, you looked utterly beautiful.
There was something about you when you weren't trying too hard to look your best, and it was in these moments he remembered why he fell inlove with you."So," you say. "You met anyone?"
But that was clearly the wrong desicion.
He can't help but scoff at your question, his eyes rolling a little as he leans back against the seat, his muscles in his broad chest, tensing.
"And why would I tell you?" He said, bitterly. It wasn't your damn business if he'd met anyone.
"Clearly I've touched a nerve." You laugh softly. "I'm taking it as a no, seeing as... wasn't it only Monday you were begging for my love?"
