The hunter and the wolf final part

I am kinda running out of ideas for this mini story so I might rush this one a little bit.

Time skip to the party.

Jake: 'I'm really glad you came Tom.

Tom: 'I am honestly still confused how you convinced me to be here.

Jake smiled.

Jake: I got my ways.

The party was overwhelming and Tom stayed close to Jake. His gaze shifted over the crowd. There were all kind of monsters. Zombies, vampires, trolls,

It was beautiful and terrifying.

Jake: 'Look over there! It's Aiden. Hi Aiden!'

Jake ran to a vampire and Tom – not really knowing what to - do followed him. Jake and Aiden chatted and while they did that Tom couldn't help himself from staring at Jake. He was so cute when he laughed like that. Not to mention that he was really kind and always seemed to see the best in people. He was really lucky to have him as a friend.

Friend?

And that's when it hit him. He didn't want to be Jake's friend. He wanted to be more. He wanted to take him out on dates, hold his hand and kiss him. And this was way more then just some silly crush.

Tom was just asking himself how he could tell Jake when his thoughts got interrupted by loud gun shots.

Shawn: 'Everybody run!!!'

Tom looked where the sound came from and to his horror he saw how a few hunters had entered the party and attacked the monsters with guns and knives.

Jake: 'Fei!'

Tom turned around to see how Fei got pushed to the ground by his father.

Tom: 'No! Dad stop!'

Tom jumped in front of Fei.

Father: 'Tom? What are you doing here? Get out of the way I need to shoot those filthy monsters.'

Tom: 'These monsters are my friends!'

Father: 'What are you talking about? These monsters are dangerous. There is no way you can be friends with them.'

Tom: 'They aren't dangerous father. They are nice and not even that different from us.'

Father: 'We will talk about this later. First we I need to kill this girl. Now out of my way Thomas!'

Jake: 'No wait sir please listen.'

Father: 'O shut up you filthy werewolf.'

He pointed the gun at Jake and shoot.

Tom: 'Jake no!!!'

Tom jumped in front of Jake to protect him and then everything became black.

When Tom woke up he felt dizzy. He felt pain trough his entire body and felt a little light in his head. It was a like the feeling you get when you drink to much alcohol. He opened his eyes and saw a big white room. Next to the bed he was apparently laying on sat Ellie.

Tom: 'Am... Am I dead?'

Ellie: 'No but you came close. I managed to get you back just in time. I shouldn't move to much if I were you. You're body is still recovering.'

Jake: 'Tom you're awake!'

Tom looked up to see Jake in the door opening. The blue-haired boy immediately ran towards him and hugged him.

Ellie: 'Well if you two lovebirds don't mind I'm going to leave you alone. There are other people who need my help right now.'

Ellie stood up and walked away.

Tom: 'Jake... what happened.'

Jake: 'After you got shot everyone was kind off in shock. Your father was angry at you for saving me but a few of his friends started screaming at him for shooting you. They got distracted while fighting and couldn't react in time when Shawn and a few others attacked them. They all fled. I don't know where they are now but I don't think they will come back any time soon.'

Tom: 'Oh.'

The realisation that his father had left him dawned on Tom. He wasn't sure if he was sad ore relieved. His father had never really been a great dad but he was still his father. Both boys sat there in silence before one of them said something again.

Jake: 'Tom can I ask you something?'

Tom: 'Yeah sure.'

Jake: 'Why did you risk you're live to save me?'

Tom: 'I think I just couldn't bear the thought of seeing you die. Meeting you is the best thing that ever happened to me and I didn't want to lose you. I love you Jake. More than is good for me.'

Jake sat there in shock before scooping forwards and locking their lips together. Tom froze for a moment before kissing him back. They kissed for quite some time before they had to separate due a lack of air.

Jake: 'I love you to Tom. And I want to be with you no matter what anyone says.'

Tom hugged Jake really tight scared of ever letting him go. Jake hugged him back and in that moment everything was just right.

They didn't know what would happen to them. There were so many things that could go wrong. But whatever would happen they would face it together. Because that's how it was meant to be.
