In your eyes, my heart finds home
A sanctuary, where love is grown

Your touch ignites a burning flame
Melting fears, soothing my soul's pain

With every breath, I'll love you true
Forever and always, my heart belongs to you

Author POV:

Danieal's eyes met Selin's, his heart pounding in his chest. She asked about his past with such innocence, her big brown eyes sparkling with curiosity.

"Selin, my past is complicated," Danieal began. "But I want you to know. I'm half Pakistani, half New Yorker. My father was from Pakistan, my mother from New York. They fell in love, got married, and I was their only child."

Selin's grip on his hand tightened.

"But my mother's greed led her to marry another man, my father's enemy," Danieal continued. "My father left New York, heartbroken. I was left with my uncle and aunt, who eventually abandoned me in an orphanage. I was alone, scared."

"A wealthy woman adopted me," Danieal said. "She was kind, loving, and cared for me deeply. I loved her like a mother. She showed me what it means to be loved unconditionally."

"That's beautiful," Selin whispered.

"She passed away when I was 15, leaving me her business and property," Danieal said. "I was devastated, but I knew I had to make her proud."

"How did you manage?" Selin asked.

"I worked hard," Danieal replied. "I faced many challenges, setbacks. But I never gave up. I eventually became a successful buisnessman, earning recognition and respect in my field."

Selin's eyes shone with admiration.

"You're strong, brave," she said. "I know no power can stop you."

Danieal's gaze locked onto hers.

"With you by my side, I can achieve anything," he said. "You're my world, Selin. I want you. I love you. You're the missing piece I never knew I needed."

As Danieal spoke, he took out a small box and opened it, revealing a beautiful necklace with a heart-shaped locket.

"I want you to have this," he said. "It was my mother's. Wear it close to your heart, just like you are to mine."

Selin's eyes widened in shock.

"It's beautiful," she breathed.

Danieal carefully placed the necklace around her neck.

"Will you be my girlfriend, Selin?" he asked.

Selin's hesitation was brief.

"Yes, Danieal. I'll be yours," she replied.

Danieal's face lit up.

"I love you," he whispered.

"I care about you so much, Dani", Selin said

Selin:

As I gazed at the heart-shaped necklace Dani gave me, I felt a deep connection to him. His painful past, his mother's love—it all made sense now.

"I'm grateful for you, Dani," I said, my voice barely above a whisper.

Dani's eyes locked onto mine, filled with love and adoration.

"For what?" he asked.

"For being honest, for sharing your past, for loving me unconditionally," I replied.

My heart swelled with emotion.

"You're my safe haven, Dani," I thought.

With Dani by my side, I felt seen, heard, and prioritized for the first time in my life. His love ignited a fire within me, melting my fears and soothing my soul.

"I'll never let you go," I whispered to myself.
