   Sadie's POV

I sighed as I looked at them and looked at the roadhouse. "what do you guys want with this place?" I asked them again and watched as Sam and Dean looked at each other. "It's none-" Dean started but Sam stopped him knowing they could trust her. "It's something with our dad... he was trying to find the demon that killed our mom. he had a voicemail on one of his old phones and this place is our only lead" Sam tells her. I just nodded and turned off the car. "this is humiliating" Dean mumbled as we all got out of Honey. It was a beautiful car but Dean always thought it was girly. "Shut it, this is what you're gonna be in until you guys fix that awesome car of yours. so let's go"I roll my eyes and watch as the boys walk ahead of me and go poking around the place and I shake my head. I grab the key that Ellen gave me after my first few stays and I unlock the door. Dean looks at me confused and I roll my eyes as we walk in quietly and look around. we see a guy lying on the pool table.

"I'm guessing that isn't Ellen" Sam mumbled and walked away. "look she might not be here. she could be out on a run getting stuff for the place." I told Dean and then noticed someone sneak up on them. I froze as I watched Dean freeze. "Oh god please let that be a rifle" Dean sighs and I chuckle a bit. "No, I'm just real happy to see you," Jo says as she cocks the rifle. "Hey, Jo, They're with me" She walks around Dean. "Hey, miss, you should know, when you put a rifle on someone you never wanna put it right to someone's back because it makes it real easy to" He turns and takes the rifle from her and empties it. "do that" He smirks and Jo punches him. I laugh and walk away from them, deciding to enjoy the show. "Sam! I need some help" He calls and mumbles something about how he can't see.

All I can think right now is that these boys are stupid. "Sorry Dean, I can't right now," He says as he walks out from where he was. Sam looks at me as Ellen comes out behind him. "Sadie?" Ellen spoke as she saw me. "Sam? Dean?" she asks realizing. "Winchester?" She asks. "Yeah," I nod. "Son of a bitch" Ellen mumbled. "These are John Winchester's boys?" Ellen asks me. "Yeah, they are" I nod. Ellen chuckles and puts her gun away. "Hey, I'm Ellen... That's my daughter, Jo" She introduced herself to the boys. "hey" Jo mumbled and lowered her gun. "You're not gonna hit me again are ya?" Dean spoke, sounding afraid. I laugh and shake my head. "Only if you deserve it" I bite my lip as I walk over and hug Ellen. "it's been a while" I sigh as I go sit down at the bar again. Jo goes and gets an ice pack for Dean. "We're these boys the ones you talked about so much" Ellen smiles as she hands Dean an ice pack.

I felt a little embarrassed but nodded. "Yeah, They're my idiots. They've been going through it though, Ellen" I sigh and sit down with them. "You called our dad and said you could help... Help with what?" Dean sighs as he puts the ice pack on his face. "Well the Demon of course," she says and I see Sam and Dean look at each other and I look at Ellen. "I heard he was closing in on it," Ellen tells them with a confused look in her eyes. Dean looks at her, definitely surprised that she knew all this. "was there an article in Demon Hunters Quartly that I missed? Who are you? How do you know all this?" Dean looked at her. I assume John never mentioned her. "hey I just run a saloon but hunters have been known to pass through, like your friend Sadie over there, including your dad a long time ago. John was like family once" She looks at them as she leans against the counter.

Dean looks at me and sighs. "oh yeah? how come he's never mentioned you before" He looks at Ellen. Ellen looks upset like there was something loaded in the answer to the question. "You'd have to ask him that" She sighs and I watch as Dean shifts. "so why exactly do we need your help" he sighs as he ices his face. "Hey, don't do me any favors, if you don't want my help, fine. Don't let the door smack your ass on the way out but John wouldn't've sent you if..." she stops as she seems to realize something and I give her a look and so do the boys that I guess tells her all she needed to know. "he didn't send you, did he?" she sighs and the three of us look at each other and I look at her and I can tell she knows but she doesn't want it to be true. "he's alright, isn't he?" She ask and Dean doesn't look at her and I look away. I couldn't tell her. "No. No, he isn't, it was the demon we think, and um.. it just got him before he got it, I guess" Sam spoke up. I watch as Ellen nods and looks at him. "I'm so sorry" she looks at them and I look at them as well. "It's okay. We're alright" Dean sighs. Ellen doesn't believe him. "really, I know how close you and your dad--" she was cut off and Dean gets upset. "really, lady, I'm fine" he glares. I felt bad for them, this was all harsh on them. "So, look, if you can help... we could use all the help we can get" he sighs and watch Dean look at him and I look at Ellen and Jo. "well we can't" she sighs. "but Ash will" she tells them and I chuckle.

about 30 minutes later the boys leave. I let them use my car and I stay to spend some time with Ellen and Jo. "Ya know that Dean boy seems way better then you describe him" Jo smiles and I bite my lip. "Mhm, I bet your ass he was gonna use one of these corny pickup lines. He just thinks you wouldn't go for him without his shiny '67 Impala" I sigh. "Well those guys got my car, what can I help you guys do?" I sigh as I look at them. "You could help me tend bar but for now go bring your stuff to Jo's room and get yourself settled. I'm guessing you've been through a tornado with John's boys." Ellen smiles and I nod and take off my jacket and bring bag to Jo's room and she follows me. "You like that Dean boy" She looks at me.

I didn't say anything. no matter what I said she would see through me. "You talk so bad about him but I see the way you look at him. ya know he looks at you the same way" She sighs and I look away. "yeah... uh, it doesn't matter. I've known him since we were tweens. the last time me and him really talked it was an argument and we've barely talked since all this stuff with John. Everything is different now" I look down and grab my journal from my bag and decide to write some stuff down. "You should talk to him" She sighs and leaves the room. I know she's right but I also knew that wouldn't happen... not for awhile and even if we did talk me and him wouldn't talk about what happened before and with all that was happening now I knew none of it mattered anyway. I just knew I needed to be there for them no matter what. Even if Dean didn't want to talk to me again. Those boys were the only people other then Bobby that I ever held close enough to my heart.
