A/N: Poppy is the same height as Margo (because it's cuter)
u up?
Margo was beyond confused; who was asking her if she was up? Isn't that kinda personal?
who is this?
its me, you dumbass
look out the windowShe put her phone down on her chest and looked to her side. The only window in her room was a small reading nook, with the only view it provided was their neighbor's...
Oh.
She got up from her bed, readjusting her pajamas, and walked to the window. As she thought, it was Poppy, looking up from under her treehouse. The window couldn't be opened, so she went back to her bed and grabbed her phone to message her.
you want something?
She looked out of the window again, seeing Poppy just waving her hand, motioning for Margo to come to her.
She looked at the clock hanging on the wall, which said "10:48".
She didn't have a curfew, like her sisters, probably because Gru trusted her more than himself, and also because she proved to mom that she was mature enough. And, despite being older, she didn't want to sneak out.
But it's just a neighbor, and they are all asleep.
She quietly opened the door, and tiptoed downstairs, where it was dead quiet, the occasional snore coming from Ralph, who still hadn't managed to get out of the vending machine.
Walking to the back door, she opened it very slowly, not to make any noise, because having both parents' secret agents meant they had their ears on the whole time.
She successfully got out, releasing a sigh she desperately needed to release.
"Finally."
Margo jumped in surprise, not expecting what would happen. She looked around, seeing Poppy on top of the fence, just watching her.
"It took you long enough, Bree," Poppy said, slipping down to the ground.
"Yeah, I don't want to alert my parents," Margo said. "So...you have something planned?"
"Well...something like that," Poppy said. "Come, I wanna show you my treehouse."
Margo watched how easily Poppy jumped over the fence, thinking how cool would she look if she was able to do that. But for now, she needed to use the ladder close by.
Climbing up, she saw Poppy, waiting. For some reason, she thought that she would wait for her in her treehouse, but that seems to not be the situation.
"Sorry, I just..." Margo began, accidentally missing the fence. "Whoa!"
With the momentum, she leaped over the fence, right into Poppy, who, despite watching her didn't move away. She brought them both to the ground, which was wet.
"Ouch," Margo said, as she noticed she was on top of Poppy. "Sorry."
"I'll get you for this one day," Poppy said, as she helped herself up with the hand that Margo provided. "You could've just said you don't know how to scale fences. There's a door."
Poppy pointed at a part of the fence, which had a doorknob. Margo just let out a sigh, making Poppy chuckle.
"Okay, but you know how to jump on trampoline, right?" Poppy asked. "And also lift yourself up on the hoops."
