Alex is walking through the streets of downtown Москва or in English, Moscow, going to a grocery store to buy a loaf of bread with the ₽693,99 he earned from his book being sold. As a failing writer, he can barely afford to keep his house so he lives in an apartment filled with bugs, old wood, barely any space to live, rotten walls, mold, very small lighting, and a barely working stove. He enters the store which has white walls, fully lit, stocked with food, and people... Alex walks to the back of the store where the bread is located, with the prices updated, meaning he can no longer afford the bread, "looks like I was too late... Эй, клерк, найди мне несколько столиков?" Says Alex, hoping the clerk would say yes, but not to his surprise, the clerk says "нет,
Извините" and Alex responds with "все, нормально, спасибо" and with that, Alex walks back out, to the empty dark side walk, walking back home but then, he sees a poster saying "Защитите Родину, защитите свои семьи от капиталиста," Alex thinks to himself "who falls for that propaganda, not even an idiot would fall for that propaganda" but then he's startled by a man tapping his shoulder, he looks at the man, who's a old short man, his college professor before he dropped out, the one who said he would fail; not like he's wrong, but once Alex lays his eyes on him... his body fills with anger, and hatred; Alex realizes he has a knife in his back pocket. He lays his hand on his professor's back to distract him by talking. He then pulls out the knife and stabs his professor 4 times in the neck before dropping the knife and running away from the crime scene. He also dropped a photo of his mother, Aнна Aндревиш, or in English, Anna Andrevovish, and a person who was inside the grocery store, steps out, lights a cigarette but notices Alex running away and the body on the ground. He pulls out his flip phone and dials "112" and shortly thereafter police arrive and question the witness, but couldn't give a description of Alex's face. Later in the night; Alex came back to his small apartment, since the police patrols have stopped. He turns on the light which barely lit the place up. He then remembers he was supposed to talk to the building manager about the light problem, but the building manager has gone to sleep already. Alex sees a rat and grabs a pellet rifle and cocks it and gets ready to shoot the rat but before he pulls the trigger someone knocks on the door, scaring the rat and Alex. Alex then says "кто здесь? " And the person responds with " Московская Полиция!" And then Alex gets nervous and unlocks the door and unloads the pellet rifle, and then says "у меня на кровати лежит незаряженный дробовик так что не стреляйте в меня" with a nervous expression, and detective walks in and responds with "ты в порядке? Ты выглядишь нервным... в любом случае, есть вопросы, тебе придется поехать со мной в участок" then the detective's flip phone goes off, he answers and after a few minutes, he hangs up and then says "неважно, извините за беспокойство" and walks out with an angry look on his face.. Alex then closes the door and locks it again with a heavy sigh of relief and then says "stupid detective, just as I was about to shoot that fucking rat" then kicks over the table causing a loud crash, and a paper falls, Alex who's naturally curious; picks up the paper and reads it to himself "Спасибо за пожертвование, эти деньги очень помогут вашей стране и вооруженным силам вашей страны" then Alex gets a confused look on his face, and thinks to himself "I never donated any cash" and starts getting worried someone stole cash from him or donated cash in his name. He throws the paper away, takes out a pack of chicken and gets a rusty old pot and lays the chicken in it and starts cooking it. A few hours after eating the chicken he falls asleep and then dreams, "РУКИ ВВЕРХ! Вы арестованы за убийство Владимир Паццини, профессор колледжа'' and wakes up nervous and sees that it's 4:45 in the morning, and thinks to himself "might as well stay awake, starting a job today" He walks over to his sink and grabs a old mug and pours water into it and sips on it; only to lay it on the table and open the window blinds and he sees many police officers patrolling and he thinks to himself "why are there so many police around" as he thinks that a police officer shines his flashlight into his window and says "закройте жалюзи, обязательный комендантский час действует до 6:12 утра" and Alex gives out a surprised expression as he did not know about the curfew and says to the officer "извините офицер, я не знал". Alex then closes the blinds and boils an egg and eats it, then melts some cheese and eats it. Then gets his flip phone off charge, and grabs a bag with his stuff. He then sits down at his table, opens an old letcher, and starts writing, but he then realizes this idea isn't good enough and slams it into the wall. Alex realizes what he's done and starts regretting even going to the grocery store to even meet his old professor. As the guilt starts getting to him, a police knocks on his door saying "Нам позвонили по поводу громкого взрыва, возможно, домашнего насилия" Alex is surprised by this and says "я живу один, Я бросил свое большое на стену" a suspicious officer then says "открой дверь, Я не прошу" a scared, nervous, guilt ridden Alex opens the door and says "смотри, здесь никого" and the officer says "теперь, когда ты меня впустил... ты арестован за убийство Владимир Паццини" a scared and very nervous Alex then says "на каком доказательстве?!" A annoyed officer says "ты подходишь под описание" and a very scared Alex then says "Я хочу поговорить с вашим начальником, это не основание для ареста!" The officer then gets mad and punches Alex and says "Ты не увидишь моего командира, блядь" Alex who is now worried for his life and filled with guilt from killing his professor says "Пожалуйста, не делай мне больно, я подчиняюсь" the officer forces him outside to the car and Alex sees it's an empty street where there's no curtains open and no one around... a dark, pitch black, rainy, empty street, and sidewalk. Alex then kicks the officer and uses his own head to bash the officer's head into the car long enough to break his head in, killing the officer; he manages to unlock the handcuffs using luck. He then runs from the area being hunted for killing an officer once they find out. There's only one place he can go... to his brothers. Half an hour later, he makes it to his brother's house, knocks on the door and says "Дмитрий! Открой дверь! Это я-!" But before he finish his sentence, Dmitri opens the door and sees Alex and with a surprised face, Dmitri says "Алекс, что ты делаешь? Черт возьми... ты дурак? Я детектив по твоему делу!" And Alex, who is shocked that his own brother would hunt him down, says "ты бы предал меня?!" A annoyed Dmitri says "ты убил человека, даже мама сказала, что вы больше не семья!" Then a scared Alex says "пожалуйста, они теперь знают, где находится мой дом!" But a angry and tired Dmitri says "либо я арестую тебя сейчас, либо ты уходишь" and a sad and angry Alex walks away.. a few days later Alex arrives at a hotel in the woods 15 miles away from Москва, and he buys a hotel room and lays his stuff down and take out his old pistol his father gave him when he died and loads the magazine and puts it in a holster hidden under his jacket and lays down. He quickly fell asleep but wakes up because he heard sirens; he looks out the window and sees police with rifles and shotgun lined up at the door. He pulls out his gun, lets them bust down the door and shoots them. He manages to kill some and wound the rest of them and runs away. He goes to a place to make fake IDs so he can go under different names but before he could leave his brother appears behind him with a pistol pointed at him and says "Руки вверх! Вы арестованы!" And Alex, who's scared, responds nervously "Ты правда это делаешь?" But a gunshot goes off from somewhere scaring Dmitri and Alex, but Alex realizes it's his time to run off and so he does.. later during the day after walking for 7 hours and 40 minutes, he's now in Санкт Петербург at a new job as a cashier but a man walks in... someone Alex finds familiar.. and in his thoughts he says "Подожди, это... черт возьми, это моя мама" and she walks up to him, she realizes it's Alex and says "Алекс, это ты? Что ты здесь делаешь?! Тебе следовало бы сидеть в тюрьме, ТЫ, ГРЕБАНЫЙ КУСОК ДЕРЬМА!" And a worried Alex says "успокойся, мама, ты меня уволишь" and his mother Anna gets angry and hits him over and over again with her purse and says "я больше не твоя мать!" And a rush of pain and guilt and sadness washes over Alex as he keeps thinking that none of this would've happened if he didn't get angry and kill his professor and guilt starts eating and eating away at him making him angry at his mother for hitting him and making him angry at his brother and himself.. eventually Alex gets up while his mother Anna is still hitting him, he pulls out his gun and shoots his mother 6 times and it quickly dawns on him what he has done and he thinks to himself "oh no, what have I done, now I'm in deep trouble, I've got to leave" and runs out of the store and leaves her body sitting there in a puddle of her own blood... dead... later Alex is sitting in an alleyway, thinking to himself, that he shouldn't have done that, and guilt gets at him again, making him think about ending himself but he rejects his own idea and decides that he's going to life across the Soviet Union, to Куруш, a small village, the perfect hiding spot for a murder.. so he gets up but police drive by not noticing Alex there and he realizes they're hunting for him but he gets knocked out.... An hour later he wakes up in a police room where his brother Дмитри is standing, mad, and annoyed then says "брат, не надо было этого делать... мог бы прожить счастливую жизнь, но вместо этого ты хотел прожить жизнь в тюрьме" then a angry and hate filled Alex says "иди к черту, засранец" and a Dmitri who's running out of patience says "ты испортил свою жизнь, ДВА РАЗА, ЭТО НЕ ШУТКА, АЛЕКС" and a Alex who is now not scared or nervous, then says "что ты забываешь, я пользоваться оружием дольше, чем ты, и чего ты не знаешь, так это того, что ОДНО У МЕНЯ ЕСТЬ, извини за крик... и что я взламывал замки" he then pulls out a pistol goes under the table and shoots Dmitri's foot and runs out the back door to run away.. a few hours later he successfully ran away thinking his brother is dead.. later in the night he's walking down the road feeling guilt for all the pain he has caused, but also does not want to be a prisoner.. next day he wakes in a hotel safely as police wouldn't expect him to stay in the city, he stands up and sees that bank accidentally sent ₽700,000 to his account so he goes to an АТМ and withdraws ₽100,000. The thinks to himself "add online robbing to my lists of crimes I guess, thank god I got this, fucking idiots, how'd they work at a bank". He sees a woman walk up to him and say "ты богатый что ли?" And a startled Alex turns around and says "не, зарплата я накопил" and the woman with a disappointed face says "ох, ну, до свидания, думаю" and walks off while a confused Alex goes back into the hotel and orders breakfast and sits down to eat, eventually the person brings the food to him, and realizes it's Alex Andrevovish from the news but doesn't say anything, just hands him the food and goes to the back to call the СПД and when police arrives he sees them so he goes to his room and changed clothes he then walks out not being hunted by police since they couldn't see his face because of the formal hat blocking his face.. as he walks by he notices another American man, a possible spy and they both stare at each other and nod and act like nothing happened
