Takamura's Permission

Tatsumi POV

Fujii said he knew where Takamura trained in. In fact, he also knew Takamura. Well that explains why he doesn't want me to take cover of him. When we arrived at the Kamogawa Boxing Gym, I saw Kimura and the others doing something to Ippo-kun. They stopped when they saw me and Fujii. "Oh Tatsumi-chan, what brings you here?" Kimura asked politely. "Oh I uh..... came to talk to Takamura-san about something important." I said as Takamura's expression turned confused. "Eh, what do you want from me?" he asked as he points his finger at him. "You two should go talk at my office. That way you could have some privacy." Mr. Kamogawa said with his stick with him. "Oh uh, arigatou." I said as we both went to his office.

"So what do you want to talk about ?" Takamura asked as he sits at a couch crossed legged. I quickly got the paper which I worked hard on last night. It asked if he's willing to be covered at the Total Coverage Project. "So you mean, you're the one who's going to cover me?" he asked as I nodded. "Yes, I'm going to cover you in all of your matches, so please I'm looking forward to covering you. And besides, I think this will be easy for me because you're a friend of Kimura's." I said as I smiled at him. His face then became serious. "You think so huh?....... Before I accept this coverage, I need to ask you something." Takamura said which made me curious. "Sure, what is it?" I asked as his aura changed. "Are you serious about this coverage?" Takamura asked as I straighten my posture. "Y-Yes I am!" I said as Takamura leans closer to me. "I don't think so. The truth is, I hate reporters that are not serious on their work." Takamura said as he gets closer and closer to me. "Total means all and all means everything, if you're not serious about this and you think this is easy, you can't have my permission to make you cover me." Takamura said as my heart beat goes faster. Takamura stands up and leaves the room after that. I was left there as I froze that time. Have I failed? Tears began to fall from my eyes. I can't believe it. I've been waiting for this day and then I failed. I........... it's not fair. I rushed to open the door and saw Fujii and the others with worried faces. "Tatsumi what happened?" Fujii asked as he walks towards me. "I need to go." I said as I ran down stairs. I then saw Takamura with a confused facial expression. I clenched my fist and bowed to him.
"Arigatou-gozaimasu for your time." I said as I went out of the boxing gym. I decided not to finish my work at the office and just go for a long walk. When my legs got tired, I sat in front of a view where I could see the big blue sea. The sea always makes me calm. Too bad I can't swim. "Tatsumi?" I turned my head and saw Kimura, Ippo, Aoki and Itagaki with sweat all over the. "Oh, hey guys. If you guys want to ask me what happened with me and Takamura-san, go ahead." I said as I became sad again. "We asked Takamura-san but we want to hear it from you, what really did happen?" Aoki asked as I sighed. "He refused to take the coverage. He said that I'm not serious and he said he hates reporters like that. He got out of the room without any word after that. This is all my fault." I said as I looked down. "You've mistaken it girl." I then saw Mr. Kamogawa as he pushes Kimura and the three others away. "He already accepted the coverage right from the start. He only said that so that when you really start covering him, you'll get serious enough and take it as a challenge. He wants you to know how hard being a true boxer is. And besides, you're a pretty woman, he'll go crazy if he'd refused to do that coverage." Kamogawa said as my spirits raised up. "Ahhhh arigatou-gozaimasu!!! I'll make sure that I will do my best and get serious on taking cover of him." I said as I got energozed as ever. "Don't tell that to me. Go tell that to Takamura. I'm sure he'll be happy to know that." Kamogawa said as I nodded. "Don't worry, we'll tell that to Takamura-san when we get back." Ippo said as Aoki punches the air. "Now it's time to celebrate!" Aoki said as Kamogawa hits him with his stick. "Idiots! The reason I came here is because I knew you guys would find Tatsumi and hang out with her. 5 more rounds of running. Go!!!" they all ran after that as I waved my hand. I'm glad that I could save y job and fulfil my dream
