It was quiet in the principal's office, the only sound being the ticking of the wall clock

Finally, Principal Doberman Pinscher spoke up. "I'm quite disappointed in you three," he said, his tone stern yet disappointed, "Do you know why you're in my office?"

The three all started talking at the same time, all making wild hand gestures.

"Calm down, one at a time," The principal said, trying to be as patient as possible. "Okay," he said, holding up his paw, "Let's start with you, Judo."

Judo's pupils widened, attempting to look as innocent as possible. "Can you explain why Peanut's notebook was found in your possession?" Principal Doberman Pinscher asked Judo.

"Well..." Judo started. "I was in English class, when Indy came up to me. She was late. And then she showed me a notebook, covering the name of whose it was. I just thought it was hers. She said we should make our persuasive speech about how Border Collies are the worst breed, and I was intimidated, so I said yes." Judo lied. If someone didn't know the context, then they would've thought Judo was innocent.

The principal raised an eyebrow in suspicion. "Hmm," he said thoughtfully, "Is that all that happened?" His tone still betrayed some suspicion.

Indy glared at Judo as she continued. "When we were presenting our speech, Peanut got really angry and got up and slapped me!" She exclaimed. "And saying that Border Collies are the worst breed is just an opinion, so she shouldn't have been offended!" Judo told the principal in her most truthful innocent tone.

The principal looked between Judo, Indy, and Peanut in contemplation. He sighed.

"Alright, Judo," he said after taking a deep breath, "Indy, and Peanut. I have decided your punishment."

"Wait!" Indy exclaimed. "You haven't heard our sides!" She told him. Principal Doberman Pinscher sighed and looked at her.

"Alright, tell your side of the story then."

"It was Judo's idea to talk about how border collies are the worst dogs!" Indy explained, gesturing wildly, " I tried telling her we could talk about different things, but she wouldn't listen! And then she pulled out the notebook claiming it was hers!"

"NOT TRUE!" Peanut bursted out, out of the blue. They all turned to her.

Peanut's outburst made the principal frown. "Excuse me, what do you mean 'not true'?" he asked skeptically.

Peanut thought for a moment if she should keep talking or just do sign language. She chose sign language.

"Indy came in late holding a notebook and when it was time to present, I noticed the notebook had my name on it! And my notebook had gone missing!" Peanut signed.

Judo rolled her eyes at Peanut, muttering something that sounded like "what a snitch." The principal turned to Judo, looking rather annoyed now.

"Judo, is that true?" He asked in a stern voice.

"Well, it was true that Peanut slapped her," Indy said, pointing to the red mark on Judo's face.

The principal sighed. "What am I going to do with you three?" He asked, rubbing a paw on his forehead. "Peanut, your aggression was very uncalled for, but Judo and Indy's actions weren't much better either."

Peanut looked guilty, her ears going down.

"Alright, so I have decided on your punishment. Judo, you will have to write an apology letter to Peanut. And you will also have to write an essay about why your actions were wrong." Principal Doberman Pinscher said, staring at Judo. Judo was unfazed.
