Scar's journey to Aurora's home was one that was filled with tension. He was visiting after so many years but the road to her house had been burned into his head with the number of times that he spent there in their childhood and teenage years before he had to leave.

He was also scared to tell her about his true wealth. He was sure that she knew of his job as a business man, that she kept up with the news ever since she heard about it. Aurora knew that his father started a business while they were younger, and when he left he was sure that she would look out in the news to see if there would be anything related to them and the business in it.

He was also scared to let her know of the real dangers of the life he lead. While the business that was protrayed in the media was the one that was known to the world more, the underworld one was the one that was not as commonly known. There were multiple reasons for that. And to explain all of them to Aurora terrified him.

As he parked his car, he made sure he was not being followed, checked with the gaurds that were stationed outside her house as well before he got out of the car. To be extra safe he parked a couple houses down from where her house actually was. As he walked to the door, his heart was pounding and he wasn't sure how exactly he was holding his duffle bag as well as his backbag in his hand with how numb they were at the moment.

When he got to her door, he knocked to let her know of his arrival. It took a couple of second but he could hear the scuffle of footsteps in the hallway before he heard the door open. Once the door was fully open, he saw Aurora, in person after a decade of being away from her.

Scar's heart raced as he saw Aurora standing there, framed by the door, looking both familiar and different all at once. The years had subtly changed her, yet her presence still carried the same warmth he remembered. Her hair, now a little longer, fell in waves over her shoulders, and her eyes, though widened in surprise, held the same deep, contemplative spark he'd missed.

For a moment, they just stood there, taking in the sight of each other, both unsure of how to bridge the gap of a decade. The silence stretched out, thick with unspoken emotions and the weight of their shared history.

Aurora was the first to speak, her voice soft but laced with disbelief. "Scar... you're actually here."

He managed a tight smile, feeling the tension in his chest ease just a fraction. "Yeah. I'm here." His voice came out quieter than he intended, betraying the turmoil inside him.

Aurora's eyes flickered over him, noting the bags in his hands, the weariness in his posture, but also something darker—something she couldn't quite place. She stepped aside, opening the door wider. "Come in."

Scar hesitated, glancing over his shoulder one more time, instinctively scanning the area before stepping inside. The house felt almost like a time capsule—so much of it was the same as he remembered, but there were small, subtle changes that reminded him how much time had passed.

"Where can I put my bags?" Scar asked looking down at his bags

"The guest room. I'll show you," Rory said as she led him down to the guest room

As Scar followed Aurora down the familiar hallway, he took in the details of the house that had once felt like a second home. The walls were adorned with photos and artwork, some of which were new, capturing the passage of time in their absence. The scent of fresh flowers and a hint of lavender wafted through the air, a comforting reminder of the peaceful environment he had once known.

Aurora led him to the guest room, a space that was neatly arranged but bore the subtle marks of time's passage. The bed was made with crisp linens, and a small window let in a soft, golden light. It was a serene setting, one that contrasted sharply with the storm of emotions and fears Scar felt.
