Wilbur felt his chest tighten as he clawed uselessly at the glass tank. It was too tall. He couldn't breathe. Why couldn't he just breathe?! His lungs burned, and so did his hands. Blood was dripping down his split knuckles from where he tried to break the glass to no avail.

He was beginning to panic. Bad. Why couldn't he get out? The tank wasn't that tall. Although, the towering glass made him feel tiny. So perhaps it was much larger than he thought. Maybe it was infinite and he just couldn't see it.

"Help! Someone! Please, help me!" He pleaded uselessly, his throat felt like he was burning from the inside out.

That's when the water started to fill into the tank.

Wilbur pounded his fists against the tank harder, not caring that his blood was starting to spill out of his body even more as his skin collided with the seemingly unbreakable glass. Why won't it fucking break!?

"Please! Anyone!?" He cried out desperately, feeling the water starting to soak the bottom of his trousers. He was going to die like this. And there was no one here to save him.

Then he caught a glimpse of something. Or rather, someone.

"Hey! Please, help me out!" Wilbur pounded his hands against the glass again, but the person didn't seem to hear him.

The water was up to his knees.

"I don't want to die!" Tears were spilling down his face, his body trembling from both fear and the icy water. This was useless, he couldn't break the glass..why was he even trying?

Wilbur pressed his back against one side of the tank as he pushed his feet against the other side. He tried to keep himself from giving out as he pushed himself up the tank, away from the water.

Then he slipped.

Wilbur let out a cry, feeling the water engulf him as he fell back down into its cold depths. When did the tank get so full? It was only at his thighs before.

I'm gonna die.

Oh, stars, I'm gonna die!

Wilbur scrambled back up to his feet, shoving himself against the side of the glass as he tried to regain his footing. But it was impossibly hard as exhaustion started to overwhelm his adrenaline and panic.

By then, the water was to his chest.

Then, Wilbur realised that there were multiple people outside of the tank. Why were they just watching? Why didn't they help him!?

He didn't know when the water had risen up higher until it flooded into his lungs as he tried to scream for help again. He couldn't swim, and now he was drowning. If only he could swim to the surface of the water. Everything was burning, he felt like he was on fire. The pressure built up in his head until he felt like was going to explode.

He tried to cough the water out of his lungs, but it only made him inhale more water. He couldn't breathe. He felt his body starting to weaken. Then everything went black. He felt like he was floating on air.
