Chapter 2

Fell down a rabbit hole...

"What do you mean you don't know where we are?" I ask in mild annoyance.

"This place has never existed before." Pan defends himself as he paced.

"What?!"

"I know I look crazy—"

"You are crazy. How do you not know about here? Isn't this "your island"?" I mock, my frustration taking the wheel.

"It's not my fault, I have no map." He snaps back.

"I never thought this would happen." I mutter to myself, running my hands through my hair.

"Yeah, well, most people claim that it's called Neverland for a reason," Pan bites back.

"We need to get out of here."

"Clearly." He quips.

"I'm serious."

"Me too."

"Real smooth, Pan."

"Stop calling me that."

"That's what everybody calls you."

"Maybe you're not everybody."

"Really? And why is that?"

"It's too formal."

"Is it?"

"Yes."

"Are we arguing about the same thing?"

"I don't know."

We both let out breaths of frustration.

"Which way did we come from?" I ask.

Pan peeks around, his confusion growing, "Everything looks the same."

"Does it?"

"Something's wrong." He states aloud, ignoring my sarcastic quip.

"What do you mean, everything is fi— Ah!"
Darkness cloaks me like a blanket.

"Y/n? Y/n? Where are you this isn't a no— What the..."

Someone falls beside me and I jolt, I'm sure if it really was Pan who joined me.

"Y/n?"

"Right here."

"I can't see you, silly."

"I'm just saying."

"Can we not fight right now?" Pan mutters in irritation causing me to shut up.

He had a point.

"Can you work your magic hands?" I ask rhetorically.

"I can't."

"What? Your powers are faulty or something?"

"No. They're weak. We're not in Neverland."

"What?"

"We're under it, it seems. I can still sense the other overhead."

"Hm..."

"What are we going to do?"

"Find each other? It's dark, probably dangerous. We need to stick together,"

"Alright," Pan responds, his voice tinged with hesitation and slight discomfort.

"Ah, cool..." I purse my lips, willing for this all to be some sick dream.
