S3 E10

I miss the girls and I'm back.

"Come on, girls! Let's go! Come on! Move it, move it, move it! Get in here" Abby says as we enter studio A.

It felt so good to be back.

"Well, congratulations. You won. Was it your best performance. Hmmm...no" Abby says.

"Didn't we win by seven points?" Kelly says.

" I'm not gonna deny the fact that you won, that's great, but I don't think it's your best performance. The routine had mistakes" Abby says.

"Chloe, why would you go out on stage and not do the correct choreography. Everybody else did the choreography I gave them. That's beginning to be a pattern with you, isn't it, Chloe? You're lucky you're even back in this dance studio" Abby says.

"On the bottom, Paige. You were good. I'm waiting for you to be great. Did you really use your face and get into every single one of those judges hearts. No. You need to work on that" Abby says.

"And next, Kendall. You didn't stick out to me. In your improv, it should've been, "Oh, wow. Look at that. Who's that?" I didn't do that"

"Next is Brooke. Brooke, you are 14 years old. When are we gonna see you stand out as the leader as the foreman on the job, as the role model?"

"Next...Nia. Your fourth on the pyramid. You were third overall high score"

"And next, Mackenzie. Overall high score in the mini division. You did a great job you went out there and you won"

"Next, Maci. You weren't here last week you were out in LA modeling and doing your show. You're a big-time star now. You just did your first runaway, how was it?" Abby asked me.

"It was fun and different. I had this like this walkway to walk down and there were just cameras everywhere. And everyone's complimenting me about my luxe and how pretty I was and it was actually very fun" I say.

"That sounds wonderful" Abby says.

"Yeah, I have the pictures" Mom says.

"Well, I would love to see that and congratulations. Give me a hug" Abby says.

I go up and hug her.

I can see the mom rolling their eyes. Are they not happy for me?

"And on top of the pyramid going three for three, once again, is Maddie. Maddie not only did you win the high school solo win in your age division, you were also the highest going solo in the entire competition" Abby says.

"Now, Chloe, did you notice that you're not on the pyramid? You're not in it. You're lucky to be here as it is. you can't go out on stage and do what you want" Abby says.

"This weekend we will be traveling to Bernardsville, New Jersey. So you're going to get kids with amazing technique and killer costumes. They're going to be strong competitors. Everyone will be in the group dance except Mackenzie"

" the music is entitled "Your Dream is My Dream." And it's big and it's grand and it's beautiful piece of music. I'm going to be using your boy in the group" Abby says.

"Mackenzie, you're not in the group dance. That means you're getting your solo. The name of your routine is "Love is War"

"Maddie, you're three for three. I wanna see if you can win again. Your solo is entitled "Lifeline"
