"Nice to meet you"

Sweet yellow sunlight kissed Shine's bandaged cheeks, as they passed through the Diaphanous curtains swaying in the wind. Faint clanking of silverwares were echoing her in mind.
And when she had the strength, she finally opened her eyes to spot a ceiling fan slowly spinning in an endless cycle. After being tired of it, She decided to look for the silverware noises and found a man over six feet tall preparing something in a glass.

She recognised his dark hair and the build of his body, though he wasn't in his usual armor attire, she can still recognise him from his presence.

"Lukein..." She called in a weak voice.

He turned his head, his jade eyes meeting hers, "Thirsty?" He lifted a pitcher full of water.

"Mm..." Shine nodded. He nodded back as a response and rolled his sleeves to pour her a glass of water, before he could turn, Shine asked him: "What are you doing here?"

He sighed, "The master wanted to come here himself but couldn't leave the temple... So I'm here to replace him."
He walked a few steps and stretched an arm to pass her the glass, as Shine was Drinking water to the bottom, Lukein dragged a seat and sat beside her bed.

He pointed his thumb to the cabinets behind him. "Do you want some milk? How about cookies? Do you have the energy to eat yet?"

Shine gave him an awkward smile and slowly shook her head, "N...No... Maybe later."

"Okay..." He glanced down and sighed.

"By the way, how long was I asleep?" She asked, Lukein raised his head and scratched his cheek to think. "Hmm... Two whole days." Shine was taken back, so she overused magic that much?

Lukein began, "We captured the Lecharian two days ago... Thanks for your help." He reached and ruffled her hair a few times.

After that he sat straight on the chair and shared some minor details about him. The Lecharian goes by the name of Teivan, twenty-six years old and they still have no track of what his real magic is.

"But... We'll still interrogate him for more information."

Shine nodded, and took a quick sip of milk in her cup. "Did you also find out... Why did he want to take me?"

Lukein closed his eyes, "It's obvious though we didn't ask him. I'm sure you already know- That you are a descendant of Kirria, meaning a lot of people will come to get you for your magic."

"Hmm... I think I understand now..." Shine twisted her head to look out the window with a busy view of the Royal Capital.

Lukein twitched, as if he remembered something: "I forgot to mention, from now on I will be your personal bodyguard- until you graduate...."

Shine beamed and her smile soon faded, "That sounds... Like a really big job."

Lukein scoffed "Not as big as guarding the Queen's life." And stood to grab his vambrace and cape.

Before Shine could even ask him, he turned to her and pointed at the door. "The nurse will be coming in a few minutes, I'm just going to report to my boss and I'll come back."
Shine pouted "Oh... Okay."

Lukein responded with a nod and he left the room- not even five seconds later he opened the door again and pointed at the round crystal above the table "Call me if you need me, okay? And DON'T leave the campus."

Shine smiled, "Okayyy!"

After the nurse checked on her, she was allowed to get out and take a stroll around the campus. She encountered training halls, Crystal Stores, weapon repairs, restaurants and stores for potions. It really was like an entire village for Students of Magic. As she was exploring the halls of the Third graders' Dormitory, she witnessed a group of students hanging out in the restaurants on the ground floor.
