WARNING: I got lazy during this. I hate this. Why am I hyperfixated on this. Oh my god. I had my period for a week. Why so long.
It was a big party, the schools sponsors all invited, but only half of them came.
Drew knew only a bit of them were actually busy, most didn't come to only seem as such. The club was sitting by a table, one of many. They didn't know how to behave in such a party, one of the "rich" ones.
Only Jake and Zander looked like they kinda fit in, but... barely. Zander dressed formal anyway, Jake has been to a few parties with Drew.
Back when they were friends.
Speaking of the devil, he was walking by, Henry and Liam not there (they were stealing stuff from the table). Jake tensed up, and so did Hailey. Zander looked murderous. He was about to say something to them, they looked so... challenging.
But he didn't get to.-"Oh Mr. Andrew! How nice to see you."
Said a voice next to him. The club looked, and so did he. The woman was very blonde... Mrs. Johnson.
-"Oh welcome, Mrs. Johnson. I do go to school here.." He liked to point out when she was wrong. She hated it. But that's what rich people liked to do, in his area.-"Jake, you know her?" Milly asked, a bit loudly. "I don't remember her..." Jake was still tense, his ex-best-friends existance still uncomfortable.
-"Oh. I am just so used to seeing you on other occasions, I forgot you were still young!" She fake laughed. Her voice was annoying. He saw his dad not far away. She wouldn't stop talking, though. Then she turned her head towards the club members. "Oh, is this the music band of this school?"
Her eyes pierced them, truly.-"Uhm.. w-we are!" Hailey took the lead. And Jake hoped she wouldn't mess up, he still remembered how it felt to see them laugh at you, like they bullied you just with a look.
The blonde woman looked at them, her face fake, but clearly practiced to be such.
-"Oh is Andrew a violinist in your.. group?"Drew.. violinist?
What the FUCK was she on about?
Drew looked panicked. He looked at her and his words were filled with such distaste he looked sick.
-"I am NOT a violinist.. anymore, Mrs. Johnson. Nor am I in their club."What was he on about? Jake felt so many mixed emotions... Hailey looked somehow excited and worried. Zander looked astonished, and Luke surprised. Sean wasn't there, and thank god, because what did Drew just say?
-"Such a shame, your show when you were 11 was my favourite!" She probably sensed his parents did it for the show, she wanted the confirmation. He wasn't going to mess up his parents reputation.
-"I was 10, Mrs. Johnson, alas I am focusing on my grades. I simply had no more time in a day to do both." He might've saved his parents reputation, but now the club knew. He knew they listened. They did.
The blonde understood she wasn't getting a confrimation. She politely said her pathetic goodbyes, and walked away. That, Drew knew was gonna end bad.
Milly walked up to him, and yoinked him in their direction. Jake seemed very shocked and tense, but Drew was that times 10. What the heck did she want?
-"YOU play the VIOLIN? AND YOU BULLY US?" She was shocked and enraged. As expected, of course.
-"I don't anymore, if you haven't heard." His words were quieter than he'd usually be. He didn't like to bring up his mother.
-"Oh I wanna hear it." Luke said, curious and not as mad at Drew as others, he was always kind.
-"Absolutely not, are you out of your mind?" Drew felt so wrong to be talking to them right now. Amd they knew what he wanted to not know anymore.
