• Since marri wear gloves mostly all the time, Howdy would ask her at times to if she could take them off just to feel her actual hands :)

• Howdy fav physical trait of marri his her smile, a cute toothy grin (and lets not even mention human marri's snaggle tooth and dimples)
• Marri favorite physical trait of howdy is his big red nose, very chewable looking lol, aswell as his fur, i wanna think she likes to comb his fur out sometimes(like a cat!)

• howdy's favorite personality trait of marri is her hardworking mindset, and overall selflessness when it comes to the care and nurture of her patients, aswell as her intellectual curiosity, quiet resilience and gentle assertiveness
• Marri's favorite personality traits of Howdy is his confidence, being a resourceful hustler, quirky humor and just being incredibly charming as a whole

• aswell as personality traits they like about eachother, here are some traits that they aren't to fond of lol:
Marri dislikes how impatient howdy can be at times, as well as his condescending tones to those he's not too fond of (like eddie) which is just masked with his charisma but she can eventually see through it, she doesn't like he feels he's not obligated to be polite to neighbors he doesn't really like, it just doesn't match her point of view that of how to treat others
Howdy dislikes that marri tries to avoid any sort of conflict at all times even when it's probably necessary, she can also be pretty passive aggressive at times, confusing him alot on what she's feeling or upset about, he also doesnt like her 'martyr complex' and the fact she feels like she needs to sacrifice her own needs to appease others, usually neglecting herself in the process
but besides that I believe their positives traits overshadow their negative traits mostly, no ones perfect after all :3

• pokemon au! the poke center (marri place of work) and the pokemart (howdy's place of work) are directly next together like in most games!
they meet thanks to their pokemons, either howdy coming into to heal his or marri going to buy items, i loke to think its also that it's their pokemons that set them up on their first date unexpectedly

• another thing howdy likes about her is overall nuttiness at times, from being a sweet and caring nurse to a 'gonna jab a huge needle in ya' switch up is silly to him

• Their love language is gift giving and physical affection (they have wars on valentines day on who can give one another most loving)
Howdy gifted marri on her birthday a unicorn figurine that he specifically ordered for her (she actually wanted a kiss but this will do for now ig)

• Marri asks her neighbors (more specifically barnaby) for joke advice because of the language barrier between marri n howdy (english and french lol)

• marri likes to carve out on her clipboard with a scalpel things that remind her of him (caterpillars, leafs, apples, as well as the typical heart with 'M + H')

• Howdy is one of the only neighbors who write her name right lol (besides frank ofc! cant catch him lacking in spelling) since everyone else either writes 'merri' 'marie', 'marry', etc. ITS MARRI !! M-A-R-R-I !!!!

• Marri has probably helped Howdy babysit Howdo and Youdo at least once! she likes to treat the bee's with lollipops and such for being so good, thats one way to make them behave ill say.

• in the modern day AU howdy n marri are in a long distance relationship, marri had to return to care for her parents but they like to have late at night calls and at least a few times a year visit eachother....i wanna think howdy moves to france with her eventually (or vice versa too idk!)

• Essentially being with marri means howdy will sooner or later learn french me thinks!

• well like all relationships, they aren't perfect, marri n howdy have their bickers from time to time like over howdy's smoking habit, Marri giving him the cold shoulder, both of them having a sort of bossy personality is where they clash a bit, especially in the kitchen, they can work it out but howdy is canonically bossy in the kitchen which doesn't put her in the best mood
they always make up (or out) in the end Dw! either on their own or with advice given to them by a neighbor

• Howdy asking Marri's parents for her hand in marriage actually sounded more like he was trying to sell them a product more than anything😭 slapping something presentable on lol something like:
"Boy Have I got a real deal for you folks! this is a real certified, top-notch, marriage material right here. This bug, in the prime of his life, isn't just equipped with a retirement plan and a college degree oh no no no! he's also got a business to pass down someday. But that's not all! This! Now this is a real, well-bred caterpillar, with enough pride and honor to outshine a Marine. what im trying to say is your daughter is lovely woman and she means alot to me, hell! i dont think i could ever marry anyone else being frank!"

• Marri can play the piano pretty well, i can imagine howdy can sometimes hear her play from his own home, although i can also imagine in get alongs such as home warming he would sit next to her and sing as she played.
