Y/N arrived home from the proposal with her heart still fluttering. The warmth of RM’s embrace lingered on her skin, and the sparkling ring on her finger felt both weighty and ethereal. As she stepped through the door, her friends, Ha-rin and Eunji, immediately noticed the glow in her cheeks. They rushed toward her, their faces full of anticipation.
“You’re back!” Ha-rin exclaimed, her eyes flicking down to Y/N’s hand, “And what’s that on your finger?!”
Y/N couldn’t help but blush deeply, trying to cover the ring with her other hand. Eunji giggled, “Oh, come on! You can’t hide that from us!”
Ha-rin snatched Y/N’s hand and lifted it up, revealing the sparkling engagement ring. The room burst into cheers, with her friends and family members rushing in to congratulate her.
“Oh my god, Y/N!” Eunji shouted excitedly, “RM proposed to you! Tell us everything!”
Y/N tried to speak, but the words wouldn’t come out as she was caught up in a whirlwind of emotions. Her brother, who had been sitting on the couch with a knowing smile, got up and walked over, wrapping her in a hug. “I knew it! I knew he would propose!”
As everyone settled into the living room, Ha-rin and Eunji peppered Y/N with questions about the proposal. “Was it romantic? Did he get down on one knee? How did he ask?”
Y/N laughed, still overwhelmed, and nodded. “Yes, he did! He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was so beautiful...”
Her father, overhearing the excitement, walked in with a proud smile. “Well, it sounds like we’ll be having a wedding soon!”
Everyone turned their attention to him as he continued, “I’ve already spoken with RM’s father about the wedding arrangements. We’ve agreed that the wedding will be in twenty days.”
Ha-rin interjected, “Twenty days?! That’s so soon! We haven’t even met him yet! We should have a family dinner and meet this RM before the wedding.”
Y/N hesitated, remembering RM’s explanation about his business trip to Tokyo. “Actually, RM can’t meet anyone before the wedding. He has an urgent business trip to Tokyo and won’t be back until the day before our wedding.”
Her brother smirked, “Convenient excuse, isn’t it? Running away to Tokyo right before he’s supposed to meet the in-laws?”
Ha-rin joined in the teasing, “Maybe he’s nervous about meeting the legendary overprotective brother!”
Y/N’s face turned a deep shade of red. “It’s not like that! He’s really busy with work. But he promised to make it up to everyone after the wedding.”
Her father nodded, but there was a hint of concern in his eyes. “Alright, as long as he’s a good man and treats you well, that’s all that matters.”
Eunji jumped in, her eyes twinkling with mischief, “I’m sure he will! I mean, did you see the way he looked at Y/N? He’s completely smitten!”
Y/N couldn’t help but smile at her friends’ enthusiasm. They were always her biggest supporters, and their happiness meant everything to her.
As the conversation continued around her, Y/N found herself lost in her thoughts. She was excited about the future, but there was also a small knot of anxiety in her stomach. RM was still a bit of a mystery to her, and she wondered what their life together would be like. Could she truly trust him, or was she simply caught up in the romance of it all?
Her thoughts were interrupted by her father’s voice. “We need to start planning this wedding. There’s so much to do and so little time!”
Y/N nodded, pushing her worries aside. This was supposed to be a happy time, and she didn’t want to ruin it with doubts.
