~Chapter O5~
I decided to go talk to Ryder first. Only because I really feel that we have a hidden connection. I walked over to his tent, slid down the zipper a bit, and asked if I could enter.
"Yeah, sure no problem. I kinda wanted to talk to you," he said.
My heart raced. It's crazy how this place is literally a living hell but this one guy turns it into my heaven. I opened the tent and closed it after I entered.
Right when I entered I started blushing. I'm alone, with the guy I think I might like.
"Hey .." I awkwardly said.
"Hey .." he awkwardly said back.
"I know this is a little weird, but I don't really have friends here as you can see. I can't stand Rachel, or Ricky, and that other guy get's on my nerves," I said.
"Yeah, they're bound to warm up to you. I hate that they set you on fire, and hit you in the head, and made you fight the puma. They never did that to me when I first got there," he said with sadness in his eyes.
"It's okay. I know they don't like me. I don't like them either haha. But how did you get here?"
"Well. It's a little bit of a story." He paused then continued. "I had a girlfriend named Rylie."
Right when he said that, my face dropped. All I could think was that Rylie was probably better looking. Rylie and Ryder. They were probably everyone's cutest couple. Alaya and Ryder would probably never be a thing.
"Hey, don't look sad," he laughed. Damn it! He caught me.
"I had a girlfriend. Past tense. We're done. Completely," he said while still laughing. "But she is sort of the reason I'm here. We dated for 2 years and I loved that girl with every muscle and bone in me. But she loved other guys. Multiple. I found out she had sex with basically everyone in our school while we were dating and she eventually found out she was HIV+ and that turned into AIDS pretty quickly. Heaven knows if she's still alive now but.. she wanted me to die with her I presume."
Die with him? What girlfriend would make her boyfriend die with her?
"The funny part is, she slept with everyone and knew about diseases but never thought to stop. So why should I die with her? She tried to get me to sleep with her but I never did. I didn't want to. And then she told me to go on vacation with her. We went on a boat a little bit around this island. When I least expected it, she pushed me off and repeatedly banged my head onto the boat. All she kept screaming was "DIE WITH ME. BABY DIE WITH ME. I WANT YOU TO DIE WITH ME BABY. I LOVE YOU." Eventually I just bled out and I went unconscious. I really don't know how I woke up. But when I did, I was here on the surface of the island with Rachel. And that's it," he said as he wrapped up the story.
"Rachel took you in even thought she saw you were bloody and unconscious? She's a bitch. How could someone so rude like her do such a sweet thing," I asked.
"Originally, Rachel liked me. But she reminded me way too much of Rylie. For the longest, everyone and everything reminded me of Rylie. I was traumatized. But eventually, I got over it. And I'm ready to try again. To find the right girl for me even if I'm stuck on this island for the rest of my life," he said as he smiled.
"You're going to try again with Rachel," I asked way too furiously.
"Hell no! I would get killed by Richard first of all and I'm not interested in her at all. She's too revealing. She walks around camp naked all the time. I like a girl who keeps everything a mystery," he said while smirking.
"What about Daniel?"
"She's way too quiet and paranoid. She's really sweet and really pretty but just not my type. Besides, she likes Austin and he likes her," he explained.
"The only other girl on this island is me. It's just me, Daniel and Rachel," I whispered while blushing.
"You're right. There's only three girl's on this island. But I only want one of them."
And with that, he left the tent leaving me smiling and blushing. Feeling nothing but my heart beating against my chest.
