"Mom, shut up! I don't care! I already booked the flight about a month ago and now I'm going to go see David," I yelled to my mother.

She frustrates me a lot. I'm 18 years old. I can do whatever I want! If I don't want to go to college, I don't have to. If I don't want to stay here in L.A I don't have to! Which is exactly why I'm going to visit my boyfriend in Africa. My mom doesn't apporve, but I'm an adult now. I can do whatever I want and no one will stop me.

"Alaya Marie Jackson! You are not going to AFRICA which I hope you know is another continent considering the fact that you didn't graduate high school!"

Yeah. I didn't graduate high school. I dropped out at 10th grade because I didn't want to go to school anymore. That doesn't mean that all went bad from there. I actually found a job at McDonalds and from there I was getting payed. Not a lot of course but enough to buy myself a ticket to Africa. I feel like when I get there everything will be better. I will finally get to see my boyfriend David after 4 long years. I didn't tell my mom this, but I don't plan on coming back to the US. Life just isn't fair there. I want to be independent also and if this is the way to show it, I guess that's what I'll do.

"I'm leaving. I'm leaving right now and you're certainly not going to stop me," I shouted.

"Yeah. You're going to go on a flight to Africa but what are you going to do when you have no more money," she questioned.

"Well, David has been there for 4 years so I'll just use some of his money until I find myself a job there! Mom stop worrying about me. I'm grown! I can do whatever I want. SO LEAVE ME ALONE," and with that I ran out of the door.

I truly do hope that this was the right decision because I had it all. I had friends, I had money, I had a house, I had everything! I only hope that David would make going to Africa worth it.

I feel so good about leaving the US. It's about time that I walk and get the hell out. I boarded onto the flight after all the security checks and the painful hours of holding all of my luggage. However, when I finally got onto the plane, I realized that it was all worth it. I put my luggage away and sat down. Relaxed and ready for this flight. A few minutes after, a strange old lady came and sat next to me. I'm guessing they were who I would be with for the whole flight. Oh well, let's just make this flight fast and get this over with.

Then, the old lady sitting next to me started talking to me.

"Hello young one. My name is Koisan. What's your name," she asked. She sounded quite determined to get my name if you ask me.

"I'm Alaya," I said quietly.

"I see anger in your life. I see a great trouble coming in your life. And I see regret in your life," she strangely said.

"You know what I don't need this. Don't try to tell me what you see in my life you old hag. Just go die and rot already," I yelled.

"Ma'am can you please be quiet," the flight attendant told me.

"Tell this 'thing'," I said as I pointed to the old lady, "to get away from me before I bust all of the non existent teeth in her mouth!"

The old lady quietly chuckled to herself. "The young. Ma'am," she said asking the flight attendant, "Is there another seat that just may be open?"

"Yes actually. Right over there," the flight attendant stated as she pointed to the open seat.

"Why thank you," the old lady said. "Now listen to me sweet heart," the old lady whispered to me. "I know that you feel that you're grown and that you can live your life doing what you want. But great danger, and great punishment is coming your way. If you don't want it, all you have to do is--"

I cut the old lady off with a smack straight to her face.

"Don't try and tell me anything. Go before I get you kicked off the flight," I calmly told the old lady.

If I have to sit with another person like her, I don't know how long this flight will be. I suddenly felt tired as I drifted off to sleep.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP. "EVERYONE STAY CALM. JUST PUT ON THE OXYGEN MASK AND BREATHE IN AND OUT. THE ENGINE HAS FAILED AND WE ARE FALLING INTO AN OPEN WATER. I REPEAT THE ENGINE HAS FAILED AND WE ARE FALLING INTO OPEN WATER," the pilot yelled.
All I saw, were millions and millions of people crying and screaming and trying to breathe slowly in and out of their masks. I quickly grabbed my mask and started to deeply breathe in and out. I did not fear a single thing. This was surely not going to be the end of my life for a fact.
Suddenly, the old lady's face that I saw earlier was on the back of the seat in front of me. It- it was talking.
"I warned you. I tried to tell you how to save yourself but your selfish self did not listen! And now, as you crash to your death, you will remember all the ones you have hurt, all the things you have done wrong! Now die," the old lady's face said while laughing in an evil tone.
"But- but I didn't do anything wrong! I didn't ever hurt people! I never hurt anyone," I yelled.
"The only way to save yourself is to--."
And that was it. That's all I remember on the flight. The old lady dissapeared and everything went black.
But what if I told you that that wasn't just it? What if I told you that wasn't the end? What if I told you that my life still went on and I lived perfectly? Well, then I'd be lying.
