Charlotte looked up from her phone to see a very disgruntled Carly walking into the staff room, her hair a mess and hoodie stained.
"Carly? Is everything okay sweetheart?"
"Yeah, i guess so. Since when has lavender been such a hassle?" Carly sighed and sat herself in the chair closest to Charlotte.
"Ah, you've been in the baby room today then, what happened?" Charlotte smiled with empathy at the apprentice who was clearly on the verge of sleep.
"Winter took his group outside and the second that door closed Lavender went crazy. Im surprised Sorscha made it out of there alive!" Her sudden burst of energy had woken Carly enough to keep talking to Charlotte until a notification popped up on Char's phone. The second she checked the notification a huge smile broke out across Charlottes face.
"Mia?" Carly grinned
"She's outside, bye Carly!" Charlotte rushed out the staff room, grabbing her bag and waving to Carly, still with a giddy smile plastered on her face.
"Hey sweetheart, had a good morning?" Mia asked calmly as her girlfriend came running out the doors to see her.
"Better now that you're here" They shared a kiss and got into Mia's car, both exited to finally catch up and have a nice lunch date.
They entered the restaurant and Mia stopped in her tracks leaving Char confused as Mia pulled her away to a corner and pinned her to the wall.
"Mia!? We're in the middle of a restaurant!?"
"Shh sweetheart, i'll explain out-" she cut herself off and turned around, swiftly concealing her very confused girlfriend behind her back.
"Mia! There you are, I've been waiting ages silly!" A girl said with a happy tone, despite the passive aggression behind her voice.
"Deliah.. I told you. Leave me alone."
"Don't be silly, you're my girlfriend! I'm not leaving you alone with another woman, especially when she's all dressed up!"
Charlottes heart dropped at the word 'girlfriend'. Mia stepped forwards and rolled up her sleeves.
"You're not my girlfriend Deliah. You know we've been over for two decades."
"I am your girlfriend Mia! You never broke up with me. So i want you to get rid of this little bitch that seems to have stolen you from me, and actually be dedicated to your girlfriend of 25 years."
Before Mia could even react Deliah had spun off giggling to herself, leaving the restaurant quickly.
"Mia.." Charlotte began.
"Deliah." Mia groaned in frustration.
"What was that." Char was tearing up and wanted so desperately to leave but she knew it would just create more drama so she allowed Mia to take her to their reserved table and gave her a chance to explain herself.
"That was Deliah. Me and her used to date in Secondary school but she was always a bit..strange. When i needed to start dating Reece apparently me completely ignoring her at school wasn't an obvious hint that i had broken up with her so ever since that day she became obsessed. I thought she'd stop after we finished Secondary school but apparently not as she still seems to be in love with me and somehow knows about you." Mia explained quickly, completely exasperated.
"Mia.. You never ended it with her? That poor girl thought she was still dating you for 20 years!"
"Thats what you gathered from the story of her literally obsessing over me and probably stalking me to find out if i was with anyone!?"
"Sorry, sorry, thats horrible. But you should've ended things with her properly instead of just ignoring her."
"Yeah, yeah. I'll try-" Before Mia could finish her sentence she got a notification and stopped herself to check it, assuming it was from Deliah.
"Dearest Mia, I know you think its all sorted now that your precious little girlfriend Charlotte understands what happened between us, but i am not backing down now. She will be out of the picture soon and i can have you all to myself again! If you ever try and leave me there will be consequences. Sincerely, Dangerous Deliah."
