Charlotte stood, grasping the railing so hard her palms grew red, but she couldn't worry about that now. Mia was running towards her but she couldn't face that now.

Char considered turning back and running the other way, past Mia, past Deliah, past her problems. She could go running back to her ex husband and live her life with him again, maybe not. She couldn't take that abuse again.

The only way was down, and there was no way she'd turn back now.

Mia screamed, she collapsed and yet couldn't bring herself to move at the same time. She felt a hand on her shoulder and slowly looked up, seeing Deliah smiling down on her.

"You." Mia's heart filled with rage and she leapt up, grabbing Deliah and attacking her. Deliah had her fair share of fights and caught Mia in a few punches but she didn't feel anything. She was practically invincible in her rush of adrenaline.

Deliah finally crumpled but didn't stop smiling, she knew she had Mia back now.

Mia ran to the edge as soon as Deliah had collapsed, she grabbed her phone, slicing her hand on a peice of its screen that had shattered in the fight. Mia barely reacted and dailed 999 as quickly as she could breath.

Her eyes finally found Charlottes body, all blurry from the emount of tears Mia wasn't sure were hers in her state of shock. Mia's heart dropped when she acknowledged her lovers limp body was really there, she was really gone.

An officer was desperately trying to get words out of Mia, multiple cars, trucks and crowds had appeared and Mia barely noticed them, she couldn't bring herself to let go of the railing, she couldn't stop staring at Char, almost willing her to get up.

The area below was almost uninhabited, it was Charlottes favourite place to walk with Mia at night. They'd walk to the side of the bridge and climb down a brick wall and just talk all evening. Now Mia would never be able to go there again, she'd only see her forever persons limp body in the trees, instead of the gorgeous view Charlotte loved ever so much. Mia had always greed the view was amazing but her eyes were always fixated on Char, while Charlotte started up at the sky. She loved sunsets. Mia couldn't only bring herself to despise them after that night.

Experienced doctors and medical workers carried Char's lifeless body up into their vans, Mia was told she'd be okay but she didn't believe it. Thats what they told everyone. Deliah was attended to in a separate area, they tried to get Mia to explain what had happened but every time they tried to talk to her she ignored them and kept her eyes fixated on where Charlotte's limp body once laid.

The ambulance with Char in had to leave immediately so they could bring her into hospital and get the care she needed but a few police stayed with Mia and attempted to comfort her, but she only stared down at the splatter of blood, still refusing to divert her eyes away.

After an hour or so the only officer remaining with Mia received the few words Mia never wanted to hear. Charlotte was dead.
