I had officially been at Hogwarts for two weeks now and I must say it has been far more interesting than my 5 years at Beauxbatons. My favourite class was astronomy, which I chose to take as it really fascinated me. For this, I spent a lot of time on the astronomy tower. I have absolutely loved spending time up here since the day that Harry first brought me a week ago. He asked to meet one evening to talk privately, if I wasn't mistaken it was because he had a crush on me, which Hermione had also agreed that it seemed so. I have only ever been in 1 relationship with a guy I had met at one of fathers partys, though I found out he had been cheating on me on our 6 month anniversary so i have not bothered to date since. After I told my father what happened, I have not seen or heard from him.

I grabbed my Gryffendor robe and headed to DADA for a new day. I only had this one class and then I was free all afternoon, so me and the Weasley twins decided we would pull another prank.

'Welcome Miss Moonryn, take a seat' Lupin began as all of his students made their way in. I took my usual seat next to Neville, and we chatted happily whilst we waited for class to begin.

'Today students, you will be working in groups of 2 as part of a teamwork project that will prepare you for exams. For this reason, I have decided to pair you up myself so that you aren't just working with your friends- after all, teamwork is more challenging when with someone you don't necessarily know. Once paired, I want you to both create a presentation piece on dark magical creatures and the safest way to defend yourself against them. In a second, I will read my list'. He smiled, pulling out a piece of parchment paper.

Neville turned to me looking slightly anxious, 'I hope I'm with someone good, I need to improve my grades a little in this class'

'same here' I responded, 'you'll be okay though, even if you don't really like them just try and put your differences aside and find something you'd both enjoy doing'. He nodded, seeming slightly more reassured. I waited for my name to be called.

'Aster Moonryn with Draco Malfoy' Lupin read out. My heart stopped for a second. This couldn't be happening, the boy I had been avoiding since I first started would be my project partner. I glanced over at the blonde boy who was slumped in his seat, legs open in a relaxed manner. He merely rolled his eyes and ambled over. Neville moved instantly, I'm guessing he wasn't a Malfoy fan.

'Goodluck' he whispered and walked over to his just assigned partner. I took a deep breath the second that he sat down. Don't get me wrong, I still thought he was rather attractive but I knew he was trouble. I've seen the way he treats other people who aren't pureblod status- it was rather disrespectful.

'So, we meet again' his snarky voice went through me and I felt myself getting warmer. I wasn't sure if it was the fact that he was incredibly good looking or the fact that I didn't want to work with such a stuck up little boy.

'I suppose we do' I responded blankly, grabbing my textbook and turning to the chapter dedicated to dark creatures. I took a deep breath. Let's just get this over with.

'Do you have any ideas for this project?' I asked calmly, scanning through the pages. He snickered, 'you're asking me?'. Was he seriously asking that right now?

'Well yes I'm asking you, you're literally my partner' I stated, slightly irritated but he just signed in annoyance. "I mean, you're asking me, one of the top students of this class, if I know what I'm doing?'.

'its not just about knowing what you're doing idiot, it's about having ideas and knowing what you actually want to do' I explained, which he seemed to find rather ammusing. He sat back in his chair, slumping like he was before. 'Well how about a demonstration?' he smirked in a way that put you on edge. 'you could represent the dark creature, and I can use my wand to protect myself.'
