In 10th grade.
I was sitting at my desk.
The teacher announced that we had a new student.
A girl who was transferring from Paris.
Oh how l've always dreamed of going there. When she walked into the classroom everyone's eyes drove straight to her, including mine.
She introduced herself to the class, her name was Juliette.
Her name was so gorgeous.
Almost as gorgeous as her.
I had to get to know her.Tomorrow was the first football game of the season.
I wanted to tell her to go, and so I did.At lunch I walked up to her and invited her to go to my game, I also offered to give her a ride.
She said she'd love to, and how a ride there would be amazing.
I told her to text me her address and I would pick her up at 5pmMy parents were nearing up to her house, it was small but it was nice.
I walked up to the door of her house with a boquete of flowers.
I know we didn't even know eachother, but I felt like it was nice to do.She came out wearing a white cropped tank and jeans.
It was way to cold for her to be dressing like that.
I handed her the flowers.
She quickly ran inside to put them in a vase.
And when she came back, I offered her my hand as we walked towards the car.We were sitting in the backseat next to eachother.
She rested her head on my shoulder and told me how tiring it was starting fresh at a new school.
She said guys made fun of her for her accent.
How could someone hate her accent.
I love it."You have a beautiful voice, accent or not.
Don't let others tell you otherwise."
"Thank you, I never seemed to get your name."
"My name is Myles, I will always be here for you Juliette if you ever need someone."I offered to give her my hoodie, it had my name and number on it but it would keep her warm.
She said no at first.
But l insisted on her wearing it.At the game she sat with my parents.
Every time I looked at the stands Juliette was cheering and clapping for me, screaming my name.
In her adorable french accent. As much as I was trying to pay attention to the game.
I was paying attention to Juliette twice as much.
Her being there, at my game.
Made me feel better about myself, and made me play a lot harder.I knew I was falling inlove with her, what was there not to fall in love with.
Seeing her jumping in my sweatshirt.
Every single time I made a complete pass made my heart pound.
Nobody compared to Juli. After the game she congratulated me, and practically praised me for how amazing I did.
I hadn't realized but this was the first football game she had ever been too.
Her first game, she was watching me.
In the stands, with my parents.
Cheering me on.It was late at night when we were driving home.
Juli tired herself out so much that she had fallen fast asleep on my shoulder in the car.
My parents decided that they didn't want to wake her up and so they allowed her to stay over our house.Once we arrived at my house Juli had woken up drowsy.
I asked if she was okay with sleeping at my house.
She said yes and that she'd love to.We got Juli situated in the guest room where she fell asleep right away.
My parents pulled me aside.
They said that Juliette told them all about
Paris.
And why she decided to transfer here.
They said she was a beautiful young woman and that they'd be delighted if me and her got together.
Since they had to of sensed that I liked her. That night when I was laying in bed I couldn't help but think how close me and
Juli had gotten.
All in one day.
I love Juli. I have to tell her.The next day everyone was downstairs.
I was the last person to get up.
My hair was messy but that didn't seem to bother Juli.
She still looked at me the same, with her gorgeous blue eyes. Her eyes had this sparkle in them.
A sparkle I had never seen before in anyone's eyes.
Her darling brunette hair was up in a messy bun.
She was still wearing my hoodie.
She could've taken it off.
But she didn't.I told myself that was the day.
That would be the day that I confess my feelings to Juli.
I've only known her for two days.
But those two days felt like a century.
It felt like l'd known her my entire life.Later that day I decided to take Juli to the beach to watch the sunset.
We sat there on the beach.
When I turned my head towards her.
She immediately turned hers towards mine.
And then I kissed her.She didn't resist and kissed me back.
"I love you Juliette. More than you can ever imagine." I said, tears slowly filling my eyes.
I loved this girl.
And my dreams were becoming real"I've loved you ever since I laid eyes on you Myles."
She wiped the tears that were falling from my eyes.
This was the best feeling I had ever felt.We continued to watch the sunsetting.
But I knew.
That it would never be as beautiful as her.
The northern lights could never be as beautiful as my Juliette.
My dreams of going to Paris don't matter to me.
Now that I have my own souvenir.
My Juli. Now I am standing at the altar.
Waiting for my Juliette to walk down the aisle. As she began walking I couldn't help but cry.
Those same tears that formed in my eyes when we first started dating.
All the way back in 10th grade.
She was so beautiful.
Not even the northern lights can compare to my Juli.
