The bike in the shadows

POV Alice

It's the night before the party and I decide to have a movie night with Sam so we can wake up together the day of the party. Were hanging out and talking about anything and everything.

"Yooo we should get some snacks!" Sam exclaims.
"Yess absolutely!" I say and hop off the couch.
We get our shoes on and get into my car. We could walk but it's just easier to drive right now cause it's late. It's a very quick drive so before we even realize it, we're at the corner store. We get out of my car and start walking in. I scan the small parking lot cause, of course I would, I'm a woman, I need to be safe.

What the fuck? I see that bike, no rider, just the bike parked into a spot far back. Holy shit. Ive seen this bike following me for the past few days, everywhere I go, it's there. I haven't told Sam about it since I convinced myself all this was a coincidence. We walk into the store and head straight to the snacks. We're picking out some chips and chocolates when I hear a deep voice talking to the sweet girl thats always working. I turn my head to the familiar voice. It's Kade.

His tall stature, dark messy hair. God he's honestly gorgeous. I keep my distance and hope he didn't notice me too. He grabs his change, and turns to head out. He's eyes meet mine and I can't bring myself to look away. His eyes pierce mine. His eyes are dark brown. He looks away fast and rushes out of the store, I might have startled him.

We reach the counter and check out with all the snacks. We make small talk with the cashier, she hands us our bag and we head out. I look back at the bike and kade is leaning on it, with the helmet in his hands. Starring at me while he puts it on his head, covering his face. Omg it's him.

Later

"Hey are you okay?" Sam asks me. "Youve been on edge ever since we left the store"

"I don't know" I pause and she looks at me waiting for me to continue "I've just been seeing this one guy everywhere I go, like he's following me. It has to just be a coincidence but i don't know it's weird." I leave out the part that i know him. She would ask how and I'd have to explain the situation with Hudson and I promised him to not tell anyone. Not even Sam.

"Oh shit that is weird, I'm sure it's nothing, you're safe don't worry" sam comforts me."what does he look like?" She asks

I go to explain what he looks like but then i remember I drew him so I get up and grab my sketch book. I flip to the second page and.. "it's gone"

"What's gone?" Sam asks

"Um, I drew a picture of him after the first day I saw him but.. it's been ripped out. I didn't take it out" I slowly say trying to figure out where it could have gone

Sam and i sit there confused for a while before we realize no matter what happened there's nothing we can do now, it's already gone. We head to my room and decide to go to bed. My head is still spinning trying to wrap around the fact that it's gone. Where the fuck did it go.

The next day

We're in my bathroom together getting dressed for the party. We're both very excited. We're blasting music and dancing around while doing our hair and makeup. Ringgg ringgg ringgg my phone goes off, it's Hudson so of course I pick up right away.

Hello?

H: Heyy are you going tonight?

Of course! I'm excited why?

H: umm I was just asking.

Hudson.. what's going on

H: some guy is gonna be there, I think you met him, tall, blonde guy?

Oh yeah.   That's the guy that opened the door when I dropped of the stuff

H: I just don't want you to get into any trouble.

I'll be safe don't worry, I'll keep to myself,

H: okay, be safe, I love you

I love you too

I hung up the phone and walked back into the bathroom, to finish getting ready.

"What was that" sam asks

"Oh just Hudson, he was asking if u was going."
