Chapter 7

Earth's POV

I've never been so scared in my life. She was screaming like someone was on the verge of killing her. I tried my best to wake her up. It took a while, but I finally got her to wake up.

Daddy's here too. He came in when he heard her scream the first time. He tried to wake her up before I did, but every time he touched her, she would scream.

I was our only hope of waking her up. When she did, she ended up crying herself back to sleep. I was too afraid to let her, but she went to sleep so peacefully I didn't wanna wake her. I felt so bad for her so I asked daddy if we could take her to get ice cream. I asked because I know when I'm sad or going through things ice cream always cheers me up, so maybe it'll cheer her up too.

He agreed, thinking that was a good idea. I can't wait to tell her I hope she likes ice cream. We didn't leave the room, but we let her sleep.

While waiting for  her to wake up, I got daddy to color a picture with me since it was the quietest thing to do.

(30 min. Time skip)

When I looked up, I saw Selena moving in the bed. She holds her body movements. The next thing I know is she whimpers. Me thinking she's having another nightmare; I run to her side to calm her down.

When I got to her side, she had her whole body under the covers. As the whimpers turned into sobs, I tried to get my cover off of her, but she's holding it over her head.

"Lena," I say, trying to get her attention. She wouldn't answer back, so I tried again.

"Lena, are you okay??" I asked, which she still hasn't answered back to yet.

I called daddy over so he can try to talk to her.

Santa's POV

I hear my baby calling my name, so I get up and walk over to him. "Yes, pumpkin?" I asked when I got in front of him.

"Daddy her under the covers and no want out. I no 'ink I can get her to come out 'ou try daddy," he said while slipping and sounding a little sad.

"It's okay pumpkin, I'll talk to her while you go play," I told him before running off.

I turned to the little girl next to me, trying to figure out how I should go about this. When I saw the bear right next to her, an idea popped into my mind.

I took the teddy bear and sat it right beside her. "Selena I think someone wants you," I said, hoping it would get her to come from under the cover. She moved a little, but she didn't come from under it.

"I think you will make them mad if you don't talk to them," I said, and that made her come from under the cover. "I'm sorry Mr. Cuddles, I didn't mean to ignore you," she said hurriedly, scared that her fur friend would be mad at her.

"It's okay Selena I could never be mad at you," I said, talking as Mr. Cuddles. She looked so surprised that her fur friend was talking to her.

"'ou can talk?" She asked, while slowly slipping. "I sure can. Now can you tell me what's wrong?" 'Mr. Cuddles' asked her. She seemed a little scared but to reply.

"Me can't cause Mr. Santa will be weally 'ad," she said. " I'm sure he won't be Selena tell me, and I'll make sure he won't be mad." I replied, still talking as Mr. Cuddles.

"Selena had an accident when she woke up," she replied, looking down, probably scared that I would yell at her.

"Hey Mr. Cuddles, you think I could take over from here?" I asked the bear, and I made him reply with a nod.
