The next few days passed in a blur for Minjeong. Her conversation with Karina flowed easily, messages exchanged between busy schedules, slowly revealing bits of each other's personalities. Despite the initial awkwardness, the dialogue had become surprisingly comfortable, with Karina's cheerful demeanor balancing out Minjeong's more reserved nature.

In the second week, their conversation took a playful turn.

Minjeong was staring at her phone, her finger hovering over the screen. She had been texting Karina for more than a week now, their conversations slow at first but gradually becoming more frequent. It was a strange feeling for her—this excitement mixed with nervousness. She hadn't expected to feel so drawn to someone she hadn't even met in person yet.

A new message notification flashed on her screen.

Karina: So, I guess it's time we finally meet in person? You've been a mystery long enough ;)

Minjeong smiled, a small flutter in her chest. She still wasn't sure why she had agreed to download the dating app in the first place, but now, talking to Karina had become the highlight of her day.

Winter: I suppose it's about time. But you know, there's still a lot of mystery left.

Karina: Oh? Like what? The fact that your profile picture is literally just a blank silhouette? Seriously, who does that? How do I know you're not secretly some 60-year-old guy named Bob? 😂

Minjeong chuckled softly to herself. Karina had a way of making her feel at ease, despite her usually reserved nature. She wasn't used to this kind of teasing banter, but with Karina, it felt... natural.

Winter: I assure you, I'm not a 60-year-old Bob. I'm a woman of my word. Besides, I promised I'd show you who I am when we meet.

Karina: Yeah, yeah, you're all mysterious and cool. 😎 But really, Winter, you're killing me here. Do I get at least one clue? Eye color? Favorite food? Anything?

Minjeong hesitated for a moment before typing her reply.

Winter: Dark brown eyes. And... I like kimchi jjigae.

Karina: Ah, finally, some details! Kimchi jjigae, huh? You've got good taste. Let me guess, you probably make it yourself too, right?

Minjeong smiled at the girl's playful assumption, amused by how quickly she was pegged as the type to cook.

Winter: Actually, I do. How about you? What's your specialty?

Karina: Me? Cook? Oh no, I'm more of a "place an order on my phone and wait for it to arrive" kind of girl. But hey, I make instant ramen when I'm desperate!

Minjeong laughed aloud at that, imagining a faceless Karina slurping down instant ramen at 2 a.m. in her law school dorm.

Winter: So, a ramen expert. Got it!

Karina: Pretty much! But now I know who to call when I want real food. You can cook, I can be your taste-tester. It's a win-win.

Minjeong shook her head, the smile on her face lingering longer than she expected. There was something about the law student that drew her in, something warm and playful that was so different from the cold, businesslike world she was used to.

Karina sent another message, interrupting her thoughts.

Karina: So, how about we meet after my class on Friday? There's a cozy café near campus. I can finally see if you really are as mysterious in person as you are over text. 😏
