Mr. Rivera won't be able to be at school today so I have to go all the way to his apartment today for tutoring.

And I'm writing my first test tomorrow.

"Try not to have sex," Liyah said, starting again with her nonsense. "I know he has a big one, he gives that kind of energy."

I laugh, "A big what?"

"Dick," She said, nudging me. I roll my eyes. Being friends with girl meant being open to all her silly thoughts and inappropriate words of hers. Which I didn't mind because she made me laugh.

"Why don't you do it?" I asked. She looks at me dumbfounded. "Like I'm not the gayest person alive." She rolls her eyes.

We continued our conversation until we reached the parking lot, she got in her car and drove off.

Mr. Rivera said he had sent someone to fetch me in a fancy black car. I don't know the car but it's such a pretty car. It's looks expensive too.

I greet him but he doesn't respond, instead, he turns up the radio. "Rude," I whisper to myself. I pull my headphones up to my ears and play my music while writing in my journal.

Wednesday, May 21st

Dear diary,

. . .

The car came to halt in front of a fancy building.

"I'm looking for Mr. Rivera," I say to the receptionist. This place was like one huge hotel. "Name?" She said, chewing brutally on her piece of gum.

"Uh, Melanie."

"Oh, okay, he told me to let you in because he might be a bit busy when you arrive. The password is 5573." She wrote it down on a piece of paper for me.

I was going and she yelled after me, "floor sixteen!"

I get into the shiny elevator and ride up. I made sure to press sixteen.

When the elevator doors spread apart, I was met with only one door ahead of me. So I assumed one floor was one apartment.

I punch in the password and enter the apartment. My mouth almost fell apart. My jaw dropped as I took in the sight in front of me. His place is so beautiful.

It's clean, and just wow.

I didn't realise my legs moving until I was standing in the living room, and the kitchen and the dining room.
