"Are you sure he's going to say yes?" I ask and he nods. "I mean why would he say no?" he asks and I shrug. "I don't think Y/N's dad likes me all that much Jaehyun." I say and he scoffs. "Why wouldn't he like you bro? You're a good person." He says while finishing my tie. "Well it might be because he has only met me like 2 times before now." I say and Jaehyun looks at me wide eyed. "Jungwoo are you deadass? Only meeting this man twice before asking to propose to his daughter is kind of crazy if you ask me." he says and I sigh. "I know it's just that Y/N and her dad don't have the best relationship so we don't see them often." I say and he shrugs. "Just go for it. The worst he could say is no." Jaehyun says while handing me my keys. "Good luck bro." he says and I thank him and leave our shared apartment to head to Y/N's parents house.

"You got this Jungwoo, just go for it." I say to myself before I ring the doorbell of Y/N's parents house. "Who's ther- oh Jungwon. Y/N isn't here, she's at her dorm." her father says flatly while glaring at me and I swallow before opening my mouth to speak. "H-hello Mr. Y/L/N it's Jungwoo and I'm actually here to speak to you." I say and he narrows his eyes at me. "My answer is no." He says and I look at him wide eyed. "What? You didn't even hear what I was going to ask." I say and he shakes his head. "I don't care, I already know what you're going to ask. I'm not going to let my daughter marry some college drop-out while she is working on her degree to become a doctor and since she is going to have a real job, she doesn't need you to live off her paychecks." He says and goes to close the door. "With all due respect sir," I start while stopping the door. "I am more than capable of providing for your daughter. I may not be attending a prestigious school like she is but I have my own income. We are partners and we take care of each other." I say and he gets close to my face. "You don't deserve my daughter. I will never give you my blessing. Not in a million years." he says and slams the door in my face. "Why you gotta be so rude?" I yell and walk back to my car.

"I'm gonna ask him one more time and if he says no again I'm just gonna propose to her anyway." I say and Jaehyun sighs. "Is this really a good idea? You've gone every weekend for a month and a half. I think you need to give it more time." he says and I scoff. "I think he's holding off just because he knows she's going to say yes whether I have his blessing or not. He knows she's in love with me. And besides we talked about it since she knows how stubborn her father is. It's either he gives his blessing and we have a wedding with our families involved or we will just do a small courthouse wedding. As long as I'm marrying her I don't care." I say while finishing tying off the tie to my suit. "I'll let you know it goes." I say. "Please don't." he says while I close the door and I chuckle. During the car ride to Y/N's parent's house,I grip the steering wheel feeling nervous for the interaction that is about to unfold between her father and I.

"You'll never get my blessing till the day I die." He says and I sigh loudly. "Tough luck my friend but the answer is still no." He says. "You know what? I'm gonna marry her anyway. No matter what you say we will be married and live a beautiful life together. I am so deeply in love with your daughter and nothing will change that." I say and he just slams the door in my face. "WE'RE GONNA BE FAMILY!" I yell and I go to my car. When I sit down, I call Y/N. "Hi baby." she says through the phone. "Hi love what are you up to?" I ask and she sighs. "Studying like always. I miss you." she says and I smile. "I miss you too look I'm gonna pick you up and take you somewhere nice so dress fancy yet casual and I'll be at your location in about fifteen to twenty minutes okay?" I say and she giggles. "Okay but what's the occasion?" she asks. "No reason we just haven't been on a date in a while." I say and she agrees. Soon after we hang up the phone, I start to drive to her dorm.

"Damn am I one lucky man!" I yell while Y/N makes her way outside of her dorm. "Shut up you're gonna get me in trouble." she says with a big smile. "Hello my love." she says then kisses me and I smile at her warmly. "Hello darling. Shall we?" I say while holding open her door. "We shall." she says with a small laugh and she gets in the car. "So where are you taking me Woo?" she asks. "It's a surprise sweetheart." I say and she groans loudly. "Oh come on." she complains and I just smirk. "Trust me my beloved, it will all be worth it." I say and she rolls her eyes. "Fine." she says with a smile and we continue the drive with small talk and jokes.

"We're here, close your eyes." I say and she looks at me like I'm crazy. "No, absolutely not." she says and I laugh out loud. "Oh come on honey don't you trust me?" I say and she glares at me. "Of course I do, I'm just curious as to why I have to close my eyes." She says and I chuckle. "Because it's a surprise now let's go." I say and lead her on the path to where I want to take her.

"Okay open." I say and as soon as she does she starts to cry. "Baby I- I can't believe this, are you serious right now?" she says through tears and a smile.
"Y/F/N Y/M/N Y/L/N I love you with every single inch of my body. The thought of not having you right by my side for the rest of my life is something I never want to think about. I am so deeply in love with you and everything about you. I want to do this crazy stupid thing called life with you. I want to have children with you. I want to grow old with you. You are the air in my lungs and the blood in my veins. I know I don't come from a lot but I promise you I will always take care of you. I want you to be the first thing I see when I wake up and the last thing I see before I fall asleep. I love you Y/N will you please marry me?" I ask and she screams. "YES!" I slip the ring on her finger.

"You said yes?" her father yells. "Yes and I am going to marry Junwoo whether you like it or not. So are you going to be there for me or am I doing this alone?" Y/N says and her mother pushes her way through to talk to Y/N. "Oh honey I am so happy for you. We will be there. I promise you just let us know what you need and we will always be there." her mother says while smiling at the two of us.

"Well we ended up getting married a year later." I say to my son, Jungwon. "Wow dad grandpa really didn't like you did he?" he asks and I laugh. "He still doesn't but it doesn't matter your mom said yes to me and now we're family." I say and then I give him a kiss goodnight and head to mine and Y/Ns shared bedroom. "Thank you for saying yes even though your dad hates me." I say to her with a deep kiss.
