The Kalos Crisis just ended a couple of weeks ago, and Ash is in the Pokémon Center, calling his mom to ask her if she was okay during the crisis. 'I hope mom is doing just fine.' Thought the raven-haired boy. Just then, the screen showed an auburn-haired woman, Delia. Her hair is tied into a ponytail. She was wearing a pink blouse and a purple skirt. "Hey, mom!" Ash greeted her. "How are you doing there? "
"Hi sweetie, I'm doing just fine!" Delia said with a smile. "How are you?" "I'm doing great mom! And..." Ash noticed some people behind his mom...his old companions ! Delia's smile collapsed to a frown, and her face full of regret.
"Guys! What are you doing there?"
"Ash, we just want to tell you something." An orange-haired girl wearing a yellow crop-top called Misty said.
"Look, we want you to give up or your dream on becoming a Pokémon master." Said a boy with spiky brown hair named Brock.
"It's just that you NEVER won any fucking league, and you've been traveling for like, 10 years!" A girl with blue hair, yellow hair clips, and wearing a white beanie, Dawn, said.
"And Ash; being a Pokémon master is a flavorless dream." added a green-haired and eyed boy named Cilan.
"Exactly, you're such a damn kid!" Exclaimed a girl with big, violet hair called Iris.
"I have to agree with them, sorry Ash." apologized a little boy with oxford blue hair and glasses, named Max.
"C'mon Ash. Just listen to us. We're just telling you what's best for y-" A light brown haired girl with a red bandana, and Max's older sister, which is May, got cut off, because Ash just put down the call without saying anything.
Stupid 'friends'. I should have known this was coming.
They never cared; that's what I know now.
Ash felt heartbroken, now these people he used to call 'friends', betrayed him. He walked out of the Pokémon Center, with his head was down, and his cap covering his eyes. Outside, a honey-blond girl, Serena, and a Pikachu in her arms, were waiting for their friend to finish chatting with his mom. Meanwhile, two blonde siblings, Clemont and Bonnie, were having their usual argument about Clemont having a girlfriend.
[ It's Ash! ] The little mouse Pokémon exclaimed when he saw his trainer come out, and jumped on his shoulder. Serena and Pikachu noticed something wrong about him.
"Is there something wrong Ash?" Serena asked. He tried to shrug it off. "I-it's nothing." Ash replied with a fake smile, and started to act normal again.
Serena's POV
Something's definitely wrong... Ash would tell us, even just a bit. I should tell Clemont. He wasn't nearby, so I looked around for the two siblings; and I finally found them, near the Lumiose bakery. Ash was behind me while I was walking.
"Hey Clemont, Bonnie!" I started.
"Hi Serena!" Little Bonnie greeted. "Where's Ash?"
"He's behind me; over there." I replied, looking at my childhood friend, sitting on a bench. He looked...sad. Pikachu was trying to talk to him.
"He looks like he had a terrible day." Clemont said. "What happened?"
"That's what I'm trying to ask him. He wouldn't tell me." I replied with a worried face.
"Why not let us talk to him?" The blonde inventor suggested. "Okay. Just tell me what he said." I agreed.
3rd person POV
Clemont went off to talk to Ash, but he said the same thing. " Ii'm fine..." He said. Clemont was now even more worried, so he walked back to Serena and told her what Ash said.
"He said what he told you." Reported Clemont. "Let's get to the bottom of this then!" Bonnie said with excitement. "We'll be detectives for now!" Serena stayed silent. "Maybe," Serena spoke up. "His mom said something wrong to him during the call?" She hypothesized.
"Maybe. We'll just have to wait for the perfect time to ask him again." Clemont added.
"Let's get to the bottom of this..."
