"Make sure to grind to a thin powder, there must be no lumps or the layers will become uneven, if it is uneven then it would crack before its properties have been utilised" Ronal explained as I crushed the coral in my bowl listening intently to her wise words.
Today I am to spend the day learning more about the healers and their tasks, sadly Tsireya had done her training yesterday so I am left with her mother by myself, having missed the lesson prior due to an illness.
I stretch the bowl out to her to examine the quality of it, to see what needed to be done however she just nodded in approval. The unexpected praise warmed my heart at the small accomplishment.

Just as she was.about to give her next instructions a blaring sound came through the island alerting us all. Sharing a worried look with Ronal, I helped her quickly pack all our equipment as we then made way to the center of the village were a loud croud had formed.

As we approach the crowd I spot my sister in the midst of the chaos with an indecisive look plastered on her face, with a quick nod Ronal dismissed me and I quickly made my way to my sister who was besides Tsireya and another of her warrior friends. We nod to each other briefly in greeting as my eyes land on the source of all this commotion,°forest people?°(she thought)
As the speech and debate on their uture continues, I catch one of the brothers staring intently at Tsireya   °interesting...°

As I look at the other brother I see his eyes are already in our direction better yet they are on me as he tilts his head gaze flicking between Tsireya and who I assume to be his younger brother. It seems he also saw what I did, it was quite funny despite the situation that he was in, including the fact he didn't know me, I couldn't help but giggle slightly from the understanding we shared in secret
°he is already teasing his sibling, and they just arrived°

Ni'awltus gaze travels between him and myself as she taps my shoulder for me to pay attention, unknowing of the look of shock and adoration plastered on a lovestruck face.

The decree is finale, the Sullys are to stay till further notice, my sister swiftly leaving as she left me with Tsireya, not before sending one last cautious glance at the newcomers
"Come let us welcome them" Tsireya pleaded dragging me by the hand to the new comers as we settled before them.
"Hello, my name is Tsireya, and this is my friends Teylani welcome to our village" she introduced us as I sheepishly waved
"Hello Sully's would you like some help?" I greeted getting a nod of approval to swiftly snatch some of their belongings.
We indulged in idle chatter as we made our way to their mauri, it was mainly a briefing of life on the reef.

We soon reach the mauri
"Sorry if it's not to your liking, it's the best we could do on such short notice" the father,Jake Sully, shook his head muttering and its fine looking to his family. His mate seemed very upset as she dropped the mat that was n her hands showing openly her emotions

It was understandable honestly she was here only by force, I would hate to be forced into something this big.
"Rest for today, tomorrow you may got to my father for your training as we take your children  for theirs" Tsireya dismissed the unpleasant atmosphere as she informed the parents sending a fleeting look to the children specifically the shorter brother.

"So I'm invited to the training session?"I teased Tsireya knowing that she wanted me there, rolling her eyes as we made our way down the path,she linked our arms
"Ofcourse you are coming, why would I want to be left with my idiot brother by myself?!"

Laughing we made our way down the path
"Do you think Aonung will bring Roxto?"
Tsireya intently took this as an invitation to tease me for my infatuation with him claiming my love for him is greater than the ocean.
I playfully pushed her into the water as we then began to playfight splashing water on one another till we got to our destination

We see our friends seated at a rock probably gossiping about the new comers j pay them no mind as I turn to Tsireya
"I think I will go see I the tsahik would like to continue with our lessons gesture to the healing mauri
Tsireya nods her head"okay don't forget you are to help us tomorrow" she tilts her head teasingly"how could I ever!" Scoffing I turn to the girls signaling my departure and quietly going to the tsahik.

On my way there I see Roxto and a group of his friends laughing together, we lock eyes as I wave in greeting and receive a subtle nod in return.

This has become routine for us it seems, hiding in pleasantries and greetings as if we are only aquaintances. Boys...so frustrating!

Rolling my eyes I continue onwards as I reach the tsahik"Ronal, would we be continuing our lesson?"
"No child, there is much preparation to be done due to the Sullys arrival, we will continue another time" nodding my head, I go for a stroll along the beach.

I see a figure off in the distance and realise it is a Sully boy, specifically the older one. In a quick decision I make my way over to him
"You are ment to be resting forest boy" I try to make my tone seem as playful as possible
"This is my resting ocean girl"he turned towards me showing the same teasing nature as i had done. Taking this as a good sign I decide to sit with him "my name is Teylani, and you are"

"Neteyam, I recognize you are the girl that stood next to Tsireya, the one Lo'ak was making love eyes to" I title my head, not realising he remembered that as it has been afew hours from the 'interaction' "yes that was me" he chuckles at my shock as we then indulge in light conversation. About our sibling , ourselves and I also gave him a briefing on what to expect of his new teachers and what is to come next.
Neteyam seemed very interested jn my home but I knew he wouldn't see it as his home too.
He is truly too kind for this kind of pain

I think I just made a new friend...nice

Yall already know what I'm about to those that are confused Roxto and Teylani are more like aquaintences currently and mmm the plot I have in my head,🥰 I hope I can properly share it with yall but will just have to wait and see

Also if anyone is wondering why my story ain't making sense make it make sense then 🤷‍♀️ anyways I might also switch povs of the same scene so it would be like 2 peoples views on the same incident I'm gonna do that in the next chapter I think so yah
