[this is in no way romantic, this is an overprotective older brother dinamic]

Most people would assume y/n and Luffy weren't siblings, since they where only siblings by sake cups they didn't look that much alike, but one thing's sure, they where nothing alike, and exactly the same somehow, even though Luffy dragged them onto his ship, y/n always stayed in the safest room... Sad and... ... Alone... Luffy's friends don't really get why they're here most of the time, sometimes they even forget they're on the crew, y/n yoused to be a lot more like Luffy, but they have a secret... They want to be a marine, every day as a child they'd beg Gramps to train them but Luffy always dragged them away...

Now, even though they've seen how the marines really are they still wish to join every day, but alas they can't leave they're brother right... They've always been together... Maybe... I got it!

Y/n convinced Luffy to let them go on an adventure like "the good old days" they said, Luffy finally agreed but only if they stayed with him,

Once in town they go everywhere, and Luffy follows, while Luffy childishly salivates over the food, y/n sneaks off to find a marine

Y/n test's They're horrible acting skills

Y/n: "oh woe is me, a pirate of the straw hat crew in this big shopping market, lucky they're are no marines around because I didn't bring any weapons,"

... Nailed it!

A few marines come over and arrest them, putting them in cuffs, finally, now they'll just have to do they're time, and prove themselves to the marines, maybe change they're look, and name so Luffy won't notice,... They'll miss him though, but it's for the best, i'll stop being a burden, and i get to be a marine, everyone wins, they think , not realizing Luffy's going mad...

In the cell wasn't the most comfortable place, but hay, criminals can't be picky,
... About 6 hours after they're captured the guards all leave... What could make them do that... 5 more hours pass by... what could be,

Zoro Pop's up out of nowhere,... His swords covered in blood... He cuts the bars and grabs you

Zoro: our captain is waiting...

Oh crap...

Y/n: zoro, please let me stay it's for the best...

Zoro: I don't care about you! You could have died in this cell for all I cared, but I'm under strict orders from my captain, to return with you or not at all

Zoro runs with you outside... Every single wall is covered in the blood of marines...

When you finally get outside... The peaceful village that you had docked on...
... Was in shambles... Fire, destroyed buildings, blood, and storms, everyone is fighting, and Luffy and you are at the center of it all... You hear him screaming...

Luffy :Y/N!!! I'LL GET YOU BACK!!!! I'LL NEVER BE ABLE TO CALL MYSELF THE KING OF THE PIRATES WITHOUT YOU IT'S MEANING LESS!!! COME BACK!!!!

He keeps yelling stuff along those lines while he destroys buildings like nothing you've seen before... This... This cant be the real Luffy...

Zoro: without you I think he has no reason to be kind...

Y/n: STOP THIS!!!!

they scream at the top of they're lung's, then see a hand stretch out and slingshot to hug them like nothing happened... You have to stay... Not for yourself... But for anyone else around him...
