One Year On

Dearest Reader,

One can not deny that the monarchy is looking strong under the reign of Charles III, although they still have quite the road ahead of them.

As we approach the 1st anniversary of the loss of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, one can't help but think back to the tragic time last year dear reader.

One that was heavily tainted by the misbehaviour of the Duke and Duchess of Sus.

Dear reader, I loath to think about the drama that unfolded behind the scene's while we were all seated at home watching the events unfold across the global after that first announcement from the palace about the late Queen's health.

While we awaited updates on the Queen's health when that announcement came in at 12pm, the royal family were desperately making arrangements to travel to Scotland.

Only the Princess Royal along with Charles and Camilla were up in Scotland, called early that morning when the Queen's health took a turn.  The rest of the family had already returned to London, preparing for school and work; now they were left scrambling to get to the Queen.

Charles had arrived at Balmoral at 10:30 that morning after becoming called from Birkhall where he and Camilla stay during their time in Scotland. Anne had already been at Balmoral as she had been stayed with her mother and had been by her side since her health had taken a turn for the worse.

In what I can only call an unfortunate event dear reader, the Duke and Duchess of Sus just so happened to be here in the UK during this time. Both having avoided visiting the Queen when they had the chance to do so.

It is here, dear reader when the stories about both of the Sussexes traveling to Scotland start to appear, leaked by the Sussex camp in an attempt to force them to allow Meghan to be there when the Queen passed; despite the fact that only core members of the family would be traveling.

A plane from AF Northolt on a flight to Aberdeen Airport, was planned for the family the arrangements delayed further by the bargaining phone calls from Harry to force his family to accept Meghan's attendance.

After nearly four hours of back and forth was the decision made to leave Harry to his own plans, allowing William, Adeline, Andrew, Edward and Sophie to travel to Balmoral; one can only imagine what they thought of such a delay, one that cost them all the chance to say their final farewells to the Queen.

Catherine and Simon remaining back in London with their children, who had only started school the day before.

The 40 minute flight was a short one, one that could have been taken hours earlier if they hadn't been forced to argue with Harry about the unsuitably of his wife being at such a tragic event and it is quite hard to ignore the fact that they were due to set off at 1:30pm and were delayed.

The Sussex camp then put out via their mouth piece that Harry didn't travel with everyone else because a crash would have sparked a constitutional crisis, almost forgetting that his survival would have no impact on such an event.

One must wonder, dear reader, how stupid the Sussexes actually are to forget that Harry is only 5th in line for succession; 6th at the moment this all occurs, even if something had happened to the plane, the line of succession was secure in George, Charlotte and Louis.

Not forgetting that Charles and Anne were already secure in Balmoral with their ailing mother, one must wonder how often the Sussexes imagine the deaths of Harry's family, a subject he himself sees fascinated with given his book Spare talking about his actions involving a jet and his father's car.

As we now know dear reader, unfortunately those dearest to the late Queen to not get to say their farewells; arriving in Aberdeen thirty minutes after her death in Balmoral.

King Charles was on the back roads of the estate when he was informed of his dearly believed mother's passing, the Queen slipping away peacefully in her sleep at around 3:10pm.

It was Charles that called the car traveling from the airport to Balmoral driven by William to break the news that the Queen had passed, one can imagine the grief knowing that they still had to drive past the cameras on the way into the estate.

Upon arriving, it is my understanding that while Princess Anne took her siblings to pay their respects to the late Queen; Prince William and Princess Adeline were taken to see the new King.

It is my understanding dear reader, that a letter was left for Princess Adeline along with a letter for King Charles and for Sir Edward; the contents of which have never been revealed to anyone.

As you might well remember dear reader, it was Lady Colin Campbell that dropped the announcement an hour earlier than the official announcement by the press; her actions in response to the growing news even I heard that a certain alliterate royal was trying to sell the story to American news channels.

Of course, the rest is history with Harry arriving just after the 6:30pm announcement of the Queen's passing only to find that his father, brother and sister had privately retreated to Birkhall were plans were made in secret.

Ones that came into play with ensuring that Harry and Meghan could not turn the Queen's death into a side show of their own, a tacky thing to do in ones opinion dear reader.

Yours Truly,
