As I carefully pulled into the campus parking lot, I could spot Jackson standing up against the post smoking a cigarette, anxiously waiting for me.I decided to go to school today despite being cheated on last night. It made me so sick I had thrown up all the food I had ate that day. I had given Jackson an earful over the phone last night while knowing he wasn't completely to be blamed. I knew he was a player and he was simply doing me a favour when he kissed some random girl during tutoring , now I know who he truly is, a lying cheater.
I let out a sigh as I stepped out of the car, Jackson ran up to me with worry etched on his face.
He ran his hand through his dark and tousled hair, "I'm so glad you showed up. When you told me you were actually coming to school I thought it was a lie, but look at you, your here and you're healthy, not sick anymore right?" He felt her forehead and continued rambling, "I really didn't mean to cheat on you yesterday. Maybe you could come over later and watch me and my friends skate so we could talk about it?"
I slapped his hand away from me, sniffling. "Good morning to you too," I mumbled, "Watching you skate sounds exciting and all, but I'm not really interested in watching you freaks fall on your faces."
I walked into the campus building, Jackson following behind me like a lost puppy, my friend Lily was standing near the library sending us looks every now and then.
"What is her problem?" Jackson says as I stop to write my name on the Journaling competition sheet. Finally it's here, and not even Jackson can stop me from carrying out my dream of winning the competition and getting a trip to Spain.
"Lily is very pissed about what you're doing too so don't even think about coming over tonight." I threw my bag down wondering why the hell I even dated him in the first place.
"What do you mean!? We were having such a good time."
"Cheating on me is not a good time." I snapped my fingers. "Give me your phone."
He lazily puts the phone in my hands. "You won't find any other girls in my phone because I swear it was an accident, really."
"That's not what I'm doing." I swipe through his contacts, "I'm deleting my number."
"No, no, no please. Just hear me out." He pleads.
I cross my arms, waiting to hear it. He didn't even know where to start, "Okay... So um... I was super drunk okay? I was having a hard day and I thought I would be fine but when she was tutoring me she suddenly kissed me. After that every thing was a blur. I swear it only lasted like five minutes."
"Tuh..." I scoff, putting his phone back in his hands.
"Well it's true and I'm really sorry, it's just when I drink I'm a whole different person."
"Is that supposed to be an excuse?" I roll my eyes, "She probably wasn't even tutoring you."
"Um, no she really was tutoring me because I have the highest grade in that class now, I can show for that." Jackson clears the air.
"By forfeiting your papers." Lily joins in on our conversation, throwing her arm around my shoulder.
"It takes a lot of brains to do something like that." Jackson says. "But you wouldn't know right?"
"Actually I think I'm smarter than you." Lily cocks her head to the side, "Because anyone with a brain wouldn't cheat on the Jade Winfield. The one who is definitely going to win the trip for Spain and guess who won't be coming along? You."
"Okay guys that's enough." I cut in, "I understand that you're sorry Jackson, but I can't forgive you."
"So we're over?" He says, tears welling up in his brown eyes.
