Chapter 2 Beater

A month has passed since the death game of SAO has began. Since then over 2 thousand players have died. Even after all that time the first floor has yet to be cleared. Even beta testers have been clueless on where it is, that is until today.

We open up to an outdoor theater type area with players gathered taking seats as a man with blue hair address the crowd. Y/n, Kirito and Sasha are seen in the crowd.

Diabel: "So anyway, I wanted to thank everyone for coming. Good to see you. My name is Diabel. And in this game, the job I rolled is "Knight"."

Sasha: "I didn't know there was a job system?"

Y/n: "There's not, some just like to role play characters in games"

Diabel: "Here's the deal... Our party found the boss room at the top of the tower today. First, we need to defeat the boss and make it to floor two. The next step is: We have to tell everyone waiting in the Town of Beginnings that it is possible to beat this game. Fact is, it's our duty as the most capable players here. Do you agree, or not?"

This gave the players come confidence and hope as they began cheering. 

Diabel: "Okay! Glad to hear you're all with me on this. Now, let's figure out how we're gonna beat the boss. First off, we'll team up into parties of six. A typical party doesn't stand a chance against the floor boss. We need a raid group made up of multiple parties."

As people started forming parties Y/n Sasha and Kirito form a three person team. However Y/n can't help but notice a lone player in a cloak by themselves. 

Kirito: "You see them too?"

Y/n nodded before feeling someone push him towards the player. 

Y/n: "Hey. what are you doing Sasha?"

Sasha: "Go invite them to join us, we can't just leave them alone"

Y/n: "Okay, okay stop pushing"

Sliding over to the player he tries speaking to her 

Y/n: "Got left out huh?"

???: "Not even. I wasn't left out. It's just...everyone seems like they're already friends. You included"

Y/n: "Yeah your right there. But still, nobody should do this alone. Wanna join our party? It would only be for this fight."

He sends her a party invite which she accepts letting him see her name as Asuna. 

Diabel: "Alright! Looks like everyone's teamed up! Now then-"

???: "Hold on a sec!"

A man with orange hair jumps down to the stage with an annoyed look. 

Kibaou: "My name's Kibaou, got that? Before we take on the boss, I wanna get something off my chest! We all know about the 2000, people who died so far, yeah? Well, some of you need to apologize to them right now!"

Kirito and Y/n look down knowing what he's referring to.

Diabel: "Kibaou, I think I know who you're referring to... You mean the ones who are ex-beta testers, right?"

Kibaou: "Of course I mean them! The day this stupid-ass game started, the beta guys just up and vanished, right? They ditched all us beginners! They snagged all the good hunting spots, and they grabbed all the easy quests, too! They were the only ones getting stronger in here. This whole time, they've ignored us like we're nothing! Hell, I'd bet there's some of them here! Come on out, beta testers! We should make them apologize to us! and we should make them all give up their money and the items they've got! They can't expect the party to trust them when they don't trust us! Why should we?"
