"Hi sorry I'm late. I had to help my aunt look for her keys." Nessa said as the girl held the door open.
"No no it's okay. I'm sorry if it's a mess, I'm barely home." Amari said while inviting the girl inside her nice home.
"Oh no, it isn't a mess, trust me." Nessa giggled brightly.
"Anyways. Do you smoke? I was just about to light it." Amari held a joint in between her fingers but Nessa politely declined.
"I probably shouldn't.... You know what? Fuck it. Pass it over." Nessa giggled while sitting on the bed beside Amari.
After smoking the both of the girls had suddenly fallen asleep and hadn't awoke until 2am.
Nessa was in a panic.
She jumped up and grabbed her phone, completely shocking herself with the brightness of the screen.

2:47am

"Shit.. shit shit shit." Nessa gasped while getting out of the bed.
"What happened?" Amari asked while sitting up and reaching for her phone.
"I didn't tell my aunt I was staying out all night. She's worried. I'm so sorry, I'll call you tomorrow?" Nessa slid her shoes on and ran out of the apartment, not even saying goodbye.
Nessa began walking to the nearest bus stop but she heard a car pull up next to her.
"It isn't safe to take a bus at this time of night in this city. Let me take you home." Amari said while opening the car door for the shorter girl.
Nessa huffed calmly and climbed into the passenger seat of the silver car.
"Thank you." Nessa whispered, her eyes glued to her phone as she tried to text her aunt and let her know that she was okay.
Once they arrived Nessa ran up onto the porch and tried to open the door.
She waved the Amari and walked into the house calmly, kicking her shoes off at the door.
"Aunt Edith I'm so sorry. I fell asleep at my friends house-"
"It's alright, you just have to let me know ahead of time. I was about to call the police."
    "I'm sorry." Ness yawned.
"Go get you some rest."

Days pass and Nessa finally quit her job, using her time to focus on songwriting which has been her passion since middle school.
Her first song dropped and gained 100,000 views on under 10 hours.
Nessa laid back on her bed, silencing her phone so she could nap.
And then aunt Edith knocked on the door after a few hours.
Nessa got up, rubbing her eyes.
She opened the door and to her surprise Amari was standing there with flowers and a bear.
Nessa's eyes widened at the sight.
"I wanted to come say congratulations on your song." She said while coming into Nessa's room.
"Thank you, you really didn't have to though."
