The sun hung low in the sky, casting long shadows over the dusty refugee camp outside the capital of Dakin. A cacophony of shouts and curses erupted from a small clearing, where Lady Wang, renowned for her sharp tongue and fierce temperament, squared off against Widower Jiang. His face was pale with indignation.

"You old hag!" Lady Wang screeched, her voice rising like a battle cry. "You dare think yourself worthy of marrying our family's brother? You're just a toad dreaming of swan meat!" She brandished her hands, her fingers trembling with barely contained rage. "Three tales of silver? That's all you offer? When that young master's servants have given us two hundred tales!"

Jiang's brow furrowed, his usually cunning smile fading into a grimace. "But it was your family who approached me first! You wanted to marry him off! When I agreed, you sold him for a high price without so much as a word to me!" His voice trembled, barely masking the fury beneath.

Mei, Su Ling's younger sister, watched from a distance, her eyes wide. "Screaming won't change anything," she muttered to herself, biting her lip.

"Enough!" Lady Wang spat, her face flushed. "This is about our future, not your pride!"

The tension crackled in the air, thick and electric, as both parties refused to back down.

"Father Su tried to negotiated with Widower Jiang. 'You understand, Jiang, we didn't want to break our previous agreement, but the refugee camp officers were pressuring us.' Father Su had said, 'If you don't believe me, ask Officer Wan - he brought those servants to our tent along with three other officers.' Father Su's voice had a hint of desperation, his eyes pleading with Jiang to understand. He continued, 'We didn't want to back out of our deal, but the young master's servant offered a substantial amount of silver, which we couldn't refuse. So, we had to reconsider the terms of our agreement and find a mutually beneficial solution.'"

"Widower Jiang's voice dripped with venom as he sneered, 'Ah, Dalang, you've sunk to a new low. Selling Su Ling to the highest bidder like a piece of merchandise? You're a master of shamelessness! And still, your wife dares to accuse me of being shameless for seeking to marry your brother? The audacity is breathtaking!'"

"Su Dalang's face was consumed by a fiery blush as he wrestled to regain his composure, his shame and embarrassment threatening to overwhelm him."

"Jiang's voice thundered with fury, 'Su Dalang, you've unleashed my wrath! I, Jiang Zimo, will not rest until your family is ruined. The humiliation I've suffered today will be repaid tenfold. You've made a powerful enemy, and now you'll face the full force of my vengeance!'"

"Lady Wang's face contorted in disgust as she spat, 'who're cowering in fear, you despicable old man! You're the one who's stirring up trouble here!' She then threw herself to the ground, her voice rising to a shrill cry, 'This Jiang is threatening to destroy our family! Will no one bring him to justice?.

"As the scene unfolded, a sea of curious onlookers, mostly refugees, swarmed around Su family , sensing the drama and tension in the air."

"The crowd murmured among themselves, 'Who got on Lady Wang's bad side today?' 'That feisty old woman from the countryside is a magnet for conflict, stirring up drama and tension in this refugee camp day in and day out.'"

"Jiang's cheeks seared with shame as the crowd swelled, their hushed whispers and pointed fingers making him the spectacle. Lady Wang's unbridled display, flailing on the ground and shrieking like a pig, further eroded his dignity. He felt the weight of a thousand gazes upon him, his mortification intensifying with each tick of the clock."

"The uproar and chaos from the scene caught the attention of some nearby refugees, who discreetly excused themselves to alert the camp authorities, hoping to defuse the tense situation."
