Na pa iling na lang ako nang mabasa ko ang messegae ni Colet and I think Aiah already knows that our friends have left us, judging by how she looks after her call with Maloi.

“Mikha, ano kasi, hmm pwede ba akong makisabay sayo? Na una na kasi sina Maloi and I didn’t bring my car with me.” She asked shyly.

"Yeah, sure.” I said, then led the way where my car is. I opened the door for her, and she thanked me, which I acknowledged with a smile.

We already talk about the chuckie thing, and I think she is not that rude naman knowing that she has taken up the courage to say sorry even though it is just a small thing for other people, yet the awkwardness is still evident between us. We're on our way papunta sa kakainan namin but the ride is filled with quietness, and only the bustling sounds of the night city are the only noise that you can hear.

"Hey, I’m sorry. I think them leaving us there is one of the antics of my friends trying to play as cupid.” I said that broke the silence engulfing us.

“No, you should not be sorry because it was probably my friend's idea. Iniiwan lang nila ako kung kani-kanino.” She said, looking at the roads ahead of us.

“ ‘Di ka naman lugi sa akin ah. Hindi sa pagmamayabang.” I joked.

“No, I didn’t mean that way.” She said, covering her face with her hand while shaking her head.

“Just kidding, I’m just trying to lighten up the mood.” I said as I took glances at her, then focused my eyes on the road again.

We reached the resto, where our friends are already sitting at the table near the door, which is why they easily saw us when we were walking towards the door. I opened the door and let Aiah enter first, and she thanked me again. There are only two vacant seats left sa dulo ng table sa tabi ni Maloi at sa tabi ni Colet and Aiah had taken the one beside Maloi so I seated beside Colet.

“Bakit niyo ako iniwan? Mga taksil!” Aiah whined at her friends, who were just laughing. 

“How’s the ride?” Colet whispered and winked at me as I sat beside her.

“Oh, shut up,” I whispered back at her.

We are now eating, and me and my friends volunteered to do the grilling, as they seem really hungry with all the spiking that they did earlier.

“Ako naman Gwen para makakain ka rin ng maayos.” Sheena said trying to take the tong from Gwen that the latter immediately raised, keeping Sheena from taking it.

“It’s okay. Just eat comfortably, okay?” Gwen softly said, making Sheena’s face flush. Ang consistent naman mag pa-fall nitong si Gwen.

“Tama si Sheena. Kami naman.” Maloi said.

“Hindi okay lang talaga kami. Sige na kumain lang kayo.” Sabi ni Colet sabay lagay ng niluto niyang karne sa bowl ni Maloi.

“Ikaw Stacey? Baka gusto mo rin akong palitan sa pag-grill?” Tanong ni Jho kay Stacey na nasa harapan niya.

“Anong palitan? Puro gulay na nga lang binibigay mo sa akin. Anong akala mo sa akin kambing?” Sabat ni Stacey.

“Ito naman. Hindi ba pwedeng gusto ko lang maging healthy ang baby cakes ko.” Jhoanna teased.

“Baby? Ano ka ba Jhoanna kumakain tayo.” Stacey said and acted like she was about to vomit, making the rest of us laugh.

My attention diverted when Aiah, who is sitting in front of me, started to talk to me in a low voice.
