MONSOON MORNINGS were always chilly and cloudy, perfect for cozying up with a blanket—or, in YN's case, for lying on the floor, rolling around like a bored puppy.

The afternoon brought some warmth as the clouds cleared, and the sun peeked through.

But even the sunlight couldn't shake YN from his overwhelming sense of boredom.

His captivating eyes lazily traced the patterns in the sky for the hundredth time today as he sighed dramatically, the sound echoing through the empty house.

His Father, and Hizashi-san had left for UA High, leaving YN to fend for himself, or more accurately, to fend off his boredom.

"I'm bored," he muttered to no one in particular, rolling over onto his back, his raven hair splayed out like a halo.

He repeated the phrase every few minutes as if hoping the universe might suddenly drop some excitement into his lap.

In the fit of a lazy genius, YN decided to grab his phone with his toes—because why not?

It seemed like a good idea until the phone slipped from his grasp and smacked him right in the face.

He groaned, clutching his nose. "Ow! Who knew boredom could be hazardous to my health?" he grumbled, rubbing his handsome face where the phone had struck.

After recovering from the tragic phone attack, YN decided to call his Tou-san.

When Shota picked up, YN didn't waste any time. "Tou-san, I'm bored out of my mind. I need to get out of here."

"Wait until I get home," Shota replied, sounding as calm and composed as ever.

"But Tou-san," YN whined, rolling his eyes as if his father could see it through the phone.

"I'm not a baby anymore. I can handle going out alone. Plus, I promise I won't get hit by any more flying objects."

Shota paused, probably imagining all the potential disasters his son could stumble into. Finally, he sighed, "Fine, but be back before evening."

"Thanks, Tou-san!" YN beamed, hanging up before his father could change his mind.

Springing up from the floor, YN made a beeline for his room to change. After some deliberation, he opted for a grey turtleneck sweater, a black blazer, and matching black pants.

He pulled on his black boots and spent a good few minutes perfecting his raven hair.

A spritz of cologne later, he admired his reflection in the mirror.

"All black again?" he mused aloud, frowning slightly.

"I'm starting to look like a walking shadow. Maybe I should invest in some colors before people start mistaking me for a vampire."
