Chapter 10

The last week of summer break finally rolled around, Ophelia had been seeing Liam for the last two weeks. Kalen had started somewhat of a friends with benefits situation with Sage. Neither of them have spoke to one another.

Kalen knew about Ophelia and Liam, it was him sat in the car that night on the street, he saw Liam from her bedroom window. 

Ophelia spent the last week prepping for going back to university, finishing up her summer projects, making sure her bag was packed and ready for the first day back. Her spare time was spent with Liam, or alone. They'd only slept together one more time since the first, but Liam didn't mind, he was seeing her because he really did like her.

Kalen spent his final week drinking with his friends, having sex with Sage, he partied harder during that summer than he ever has, he wouldn't admit it but seeing Liam that night with his Ophelia enraged him, it pushed him over the edge a little. The fact Liam could take her out, hold her hand, and kiss her in public, something he could not do, so he partied and fucked to keep her off of his mind, he knew she wasn't his.

The first day of university rolled around, Ophelia got herself ready, put her makeup on, and got dressed into the outfit she chose over the weekend.

A simple tight white t-shirt with a pair of tight denim shorts with converse. 

Slinging her backpack over her shoulder she left her house and drove off to university.

Once she arrived she met up with her group of friends, a few minutes later Liam arrived and handed her a coffee. 

"Thank you." she smiled at him, he kissed her cheek softly. 

"What class do you guys have first?" her friend Kelly asked, who was stood with her boyfriend Ron. 

Ophelia checked her schedule and sucked in a breath "English." 

"Wait we have English first again this term?" Lily asked checking her schedule. "What about you Liam?" 

"Yeah I'm in your English call this term, checked before I left this morning." he answered.

Ophelia felt anxiety building up inside, this would be the first time she saw him in weeks, but things were different now, she wouldn't be with him, she'd be his student.  

A little while later they made their way through the halls heading to their English class, Lily went in first as Ophelia stood there and paused.

"Babe, come on." Liam spoke gently tugging her through the door.

As Kalen sat there prepping the board as everyone piled into the room, he heard the familiar laugh of Ophelia's best friend Lily as she walked in with another of her friends, he glanced at the door and saw Ophelia's small frame hiding behind Liam. 

"Babe, come on." he heard him speak, babe? He scoffed.

A few moments later Liam walked in and sat at an empty desk that used to be another student who left over break. 

Olivia walked to her usual desk with her head down, not looking in my direction at all. I continued to write on the board until everyone was settled.

"Welcome back  everyone, I hope you all had a good summer break?" Kalen began to speak to the class, Ophelia still did not look in his direction. "To start let's all tell the group one this that we did or that happened to them this summer."

Students mentioned holidays, parties, beach days and some even mentioned they studied the entire summer. 

Then it got to Liam "I started dating someone." he said proudly, Ophelia didn't even acknowledge the statement.
