"You survived the car ride doll" he says, smiling smugly as he opens the door for her. She gets out and dusts down her jacket as if trying to rid herself of the frustration from the car ride. The second car pulls in and the others get. She shoves past him, their shoulders colliding as she passes to follow the others. He lets out a sighed laugh and closes the car door before following behind. He looks closely for her reaction as they walk around to the front of the school building.

As the school comes into view, Phoebe's eyes widen at the size of the building. The tall brick walls are lined with a neat coat of shrubbery, giving it an almost magical feel. The grounds are huge, enclosed by the trees of the surrounding forest. The place has a fancy feel to it, something foreign to Phoebe. And she certainly didn't expect Logan to live in a place like this.

He see's the awe on her face as she looks around. It's clear that this place is far more extravagant than anywhere she's been. Her reaction is comical to him, almost cute. 'No' he thinks, and pushes the thought away quickly. Phoebe follows Storm, Scott and Jean to the front doors as Logan lingers behind, finding himself unable to take his eyes off her. But he quickly shakes his head, trying to stop himself from thinking of her like that. He wasn't supposed to find her attractive, he wasn't supposed to be noticing her features, he wasn't supposed to be amused by her blunt comments and feisty behaviour. But it doesn't change the fact that he is.

Once in the foyer, they stop. Phoebe looks around. He see's her eyes dart around the entryway, still stunned by the luxury of the place. She takes in the vast ceilings, the marble floors and the expensive decor.

She tears her gaze from the infrastructure to address the group, "So, what happens now?"

Jean finally speaks, her expression unreadable, "Well, the Professor will want to talk with you now." she says, nodding to the room at the end of the corridor.

Phoebe looks down the hall and see's the office doors. She doesn't know who this Professor is, but it's too late to back out now, so she follows as Jean leads. Scott and Storm walk alongside her, still wary of the newcomer, while Logan trails behind, trying and failing to deny that he's starting to find her attractive.

As they walk down the hall, Phoebe starts to wonder if she made the right decision. Logan boils her blood, the others have barely spoken to her and she's with strangers in this massive mansion in the middle of nowhere. They come to a stop outside the door. The others notice her hesitancy and watch as Phoebe battles with her thoughts.

After a few moments of pause, the door slowly opens, and an older man, Charles Xavier, the Professor, wheels himself out from behind his desk to greet them. He smiles at the group as he slowly makes his way towards Phoebe.

"Ah, so there you all are." He says, his voice gentle and kind. He wheels up beside Phoebe, his eyes solely on her "And you must be Miss Phoenix, I presume?"

"And you must be the Professor" she replies. It's clear that her walls have gone up in defense as she navigates this new environment. The Professor chuckles, amused by her blunt response, and nods in affirmation.

"That is correct. I'm Charles Xavier, it is a pleasure to meet you, Miss Phoenix." he says, gentle and welcoming, a tone that Phoebe isn't used to.

"You too.... I think" she says. She glances back at Logan, who, although she doesn't like him, is the most familiar face in this particular room.

The Professor laughs again at her hesitation before continuing to study her. He's takes a mental note of her glance back at Logan before he speaks again. "I'm assuming you're wondering why you're here?"

Phoebe sighs, slightly relieved. "Yeah... and I haven't really gotten much out of this lot". She nods her head to the group behind her. Once again, the Professor laughs and looks over the group quickly.
