Lucia
I run down the stairs and nearly trip on the last step. I then quickly walk over to the front door where Tiago is waiting for me. It's finally Saturday and that means it's Alex's birthday, who is the boy from my class.
Tiago chucks Alex's gift over to me and I catch it. Tiago then opens the front door and walks out going over to his car, but I don't follow him out instead I quickly run back upstairs and go over to a cupboard on the landing that has random stuff stored in it. I open it and take out a gift bag that's big enough for the bulky shaped gift and put it in, then I run back downstairs and into my brothers car.
He puts is phone down and looks over at me with a questioning look. ''I put it in a gift bag, it looks better'' I shrug showing him the gift bag and then putting it in the back of the car and then strapping my seatbelt on.
''you are very thoughtful'' my brother tells me as he pulls out of the drive way and onto the road.
It takes about quarter of an hour until we arrive at Alex's house. I undo my seatbelt and grab the gift from the back. Me and Tiago then get out and head towards the front door of the house. Ti rings the doorbell and we stand waiting for someone to answer.
The door is then opened and in front of us stands a nice looking middle aged woman. She is smiling kindly and is wearing a white dress with some tan sandals showcasing her white painted toenails.
''hello my dears, you must be Lucia and?'' the woman who I'm guessing is Alex's mother, asks Tiago not knowing who he is.
''Santiago, Lucia's brother'' Tiago says shaking the womans hand. ''it's very nice to meet the two of you'' she smiles, ''Well Alex is in the living room with some of his other friends you can go through and join them, honey'' she tells as she looks down at me.
''okay thank you'' I turn to my brother and quickly give him a hug, ''bye Tiago''
'yes, have fun I'll be picking you up later'' he says kissing my cheek.
I then walk through into the house taking my shoes of when I see the other kids shoes there. I go into the living room next and see some of the kids from my class. They seem to be playing UNO which is my favourite game to play with Romeo.
Everyone is circled around sitting on the floor. Some kids look up when I walk in and wave and say hello to me. Then Alex looks up after placing a card down onto the stack placed on the carpeted floor.
''Hi Lucia come play with us'' he says smiling brightly I return the smile and sit down next to Alex and another girl who don't recognise but she soon smiles at me. ''Hello everyone, and happy birthday Alex'' I say.
''thank you'' Alex says shyly.
Hours pass while we all play fun party games and eat cake but not before singing happy birthday of course. It was such a good time. I'm so happy and thank full I got invited.
