The apartment

Day : 1

Ivan woke up earlier than usual at 6am to the usual sounds of his neighbours yelling , but something was different, there was no one outside on the corridor or on the street . He got changed and begun walking with a limp from his injury the night before . He hobbled down the stairs and into the ground floor where he saw something that made him ill. The groundskeeper was tied up across the street , his head ripped off and his organs removed , Ivan saw stevie and some of the other men trying to pry the door open , Ivan saw Ezekiel , dimitris son , curled up in a corner .
Ivan walked over to him . "What's up zeke?" "He's out there" Ivan didn't know how to respond, who was he and what's up with him being out there but before Ivan could bring the gory thought of what happened to the security guard Ezekiel piped up again "papas out there" Ivan noticed zekes bloody nose and called over an ex nurse , fey , to care for the boys nose .
Ivan walks to the door and sees that chains have tied the handles together along with someone soldering the doors shut, from the inside and the outside. Ivan gets to the front of the crowd and sees dimitri is indeed locked outside . "Please help me" dimitri yells . Ivan looks around and sees the windows have been welded over with iron bars. Everyone hears a noise which Ivan recognises as the noise from the night before . Dimitri panics as he looks off to his left and begins to run the other way . Everyone backs away from the door except for stevie who's still trying to break through the door to save dimitri but it's too late . A large dark creature runs through and pounces on dimitri , dragging him round the corner to where no one can see him the people of the apartment take off running away and up the stairs except for Abram who's pounding on the door as he witnesses his only child being ripped apart. Ivan runs to the glass to drag Abram away . But somethings not right , Abram isn't breathing. In fact he's having a heart attack.
The residents begin to panic until one of the residents, Niki , goes to the second floor and jumps out the window , running towards наркотики pharmacy to get some aspirin. Everyone watches as niki makes it across and breaks into the pharmacy. People are horrified as the creature charges through the window Niki broke . People hear Niki scream in agony as three gunshots ring out all three hitting the glass but only one coming through. The residents think that they're ok until they hear something hit the floor . A pill bottle crashes Down along with a body . They all turn around to see fey, dead on the floor , she was shot in the gut after going upstairs to go get the aspirin . Stevie runs over and gets the aspirin from the floor and gives them to Abram. Ivan goes upstairs to smoke when he sees Abrams door is still open . Ivan looks around and walks in where he finds an open diary on the desk . Ivan flicks through it and sees hundreds of pages with different dates at the top , Ivan reads a couple pages . One retelling the story of the time he murdered the thugs , another telling of the time Dimitri broke into his own store to steal morphine . But there was one that stuck out to him
August 12 1990:
Dear diary , today me and Dimitri went hunting . that was a very bad hospital visit . Dimitri is the only kid who can shoot his own hand whilst aiming at a moose 5 metres away . But I'm not gonna take his other great shots away from him : he hit 1 elk ; 3 foxes ; 3 rabbits ; 12 pigeons : 2 deer . He got a good first shot but I had to finish the elk and deer but there was something bizarre. It really did look like a deer  but it was too , disproportional. Everything was too long but it's neck looked like a human torso that was also giant. I don't know my animals but I know there is not a single animal out here with 6 limbs that's that big . That thing is just borderline unnatural. Now I'm convinced this is a military testing ground . I mean it's weird how people and animals just disappear. Well I can't write as much as usual as I'm in the hospital with Dimitri.
Ivan thought that entry was bizarre until he flicked through the book and found a very interesting page that he wanted to read too .
September 3 1990 :
Dear diary
Dimitri is grounded for life, he's just been out the hospital for nearly blowing his hand off and now he's trespassing and fleeing the military. I got a call from the police station saying dimitri had been arrested for trespassing and he needed to be picked up from the station . I drove all the way out there and the officer gave me the rundown . Dimitri and some school friends hiked 2 miles north into an abandoned neighbourhood that was apparently the site of a mini Chernobyl which is why there was so much military, makes sense . But these friends went through a whole in the fence and broke into a chapel. And of course they were caught , instead of just being escorted out they decided to run one of his friends zeke was shot by the military whilst another one was gutted climbing a fence , luckily the only damage done to Dimitri was his bandages had split and he caught a small gash on his side . I'm so disappointed in him but I'm also worried for him , the doctor prescribed him schizophrenia medication as apparently Dimitri saw something in the woods when I heard what it was I froze . It was the creature I saw whilst hunting , apparently it was in the old chapels basement, I'm gonna check it out . Goodbye for now .
Ivan was intrigued by what he just read and he was gonna keep going until he heard footsteps, stevie was bringing Abram up to his room . With no other resort Ivan hid under the bed where he found something else that shook him to his core . A skeleton . Ivan tried not to scream as the skeleton sat there staring at him . But now he knew the truth , his sweet old neighbour Abram was actually a murderer.

Ivan was going to leave until he heard  footsteps coming into the room , he didn't recognise the person at first but he soon lunged at them when he realised they were robbing him . Ivan realised it was feys 28 year old granddaughter, Sasha.
Sasha was short skinny and scruffy , with curly black hairs and dark brown eyes she soon became the victim of a villainous gang leader . Ivan pinned her to the wall and snarled"what are you doing here" "what does it look like ,what are you doing here"
Ivan released his grip , "we're both guilty then eh" . "So don't tell anyone about this" Ivan let her go "why shouldn't i tell anyone?" Ivan said smugly . Sasha rolled her eyes and pinned him to the wall "if you tell anyone I'll slit your throat" the pair leave going there separate ways but not before Ivan steals the diary.
Ivan walks back downstairs to see that there is no one there except for Ezekiel, huddled up under a seat . Ivan ran over to him "where is everyone" "upstairs or gone" he says with a lack of empathy Ivan scoops up Ezekiel and begins to walk back upstairs when the same violent screech is heard from the basement followed by a flurry of gunshots. Ivan put the boy down before running to a vending machine , tipping it in front  of the basement door . Ivan noticed the drone window was gone where the creature must have come in . Ivan's about to leave when he sees Niki , missing a leg , crawling toward him . Ivan's about to come out when he sees a creature hiding behind наркотики Ivan freezes in fear realising Dimitri wasn't crazy and he actually found these things . Just then another creature jumps around the corner into the apartment complex's first floor . Ivan knows he is destined to die and accepts his fate as the creature grows near in a second until . A hand reaches out and pull Ivan into the stairwell . In the stairwell he sees Stevie who drops a wooden beam in front of the door . And begins to run upstairs to his own safety , holding zeke in his arms as he does so .
That night Ivan looks out his window and contemplates jumping to his death , but this time it's different , he doesn't want to jump but his body is caring on its own. Ivan begins to panic as he brings himself to the edge against his own will .until something snaps him out of it . One of his up floor neighbours shot a rifle straight into one of them things . Breaking its trance . Ivan then realised that these creatures weren't natural , they were supernatural, harnessing powers  to freeze him in his tracks. Ivan shut his window and blinds to avoid looking out before going to his room with his rifle .
Hours past as Ivan sits awake , unable to do anything but prepare to kill himself if something breaks in to his apartment. He's just about to get to sleep when he hears a metal clang on the fire escape
He shoots up like a rabbit hearing a crunch in the snow as he checks outside to see a neighbour, barely alive who tried to kill himself and landed on the fire escape . With nothing else to do Ivan sweeps the body off into the wood-chipper nearly making Ivan throw up after hearing what what Abram confessed to in that book Ivan stole
