The apartment

Day : 2

Stevie wakes up , trapped in the woods . He pulls himself to his feet and hears that horrible screech . He looks around , panicking as a creature comes charging at him , a black blur in the night. Stevie takes off running in the opposite direction, hearing the creature approach rapidly. Stevie is running but not moving , he tries to scream but nothing comes out , the creature approaches him . It opens its maw and picks him up . Ready to eat him . When all of a sudden , he wakes back up . Panting in his bed . Ivan was right , this place is driving him insane .
Stevie walked out into the corridor to the sound of people still complaining and yelling about the door being sealed shut, listening to this he goes to explore the complex, going up the stairs.
The higher he climbs the worse the state of the building gets, cracks in the walls, black mould, ash on the floor, broken glass everywhere, even blood splattered on the sign that read: floor 5. He climbed higher, just wondering how everything was, but as he reached floor 6, he saw someone he remembered, the thug he fought on his first day, mugging some old lady. Stevie got the element of surprise and charged at the mugger, who stabbed him in the shoulder, the old lady ran into her apartment, fleeing like a goose. Stevies adrenaline is pumping him to not care about the knife. He waits for the mugger to get up and he punches him in the face, but he keeps laying into him until he hears a click and hears a voice "hold it". Stevie stops punching him as the man behind him grabs him by his collar and throws him into the stairwell. "Don't come back if you know what's good for you".
Ivan wakes up and walks out onto his floor, just wanting to go anywhere but here.
But he knows he's trapped so he just walks around the corridors aimlessly. He looks out the window, staring into the woods when he sees something, he's confused at first but then it clicks. He sees the body of the suicidal neighbour on the tree line, gutted and broken, just discarded like an empty can, it's obviously been a meal for these god forsaken creatures. This was what confused him, didn't the body fall into the wood chipper, how is it still here for them to eat?. But then what clicked was, it wasn't on, he gave them a free meal. "Fuck" he says, lighting a cigarette. He hears a voice behind him "how many people have died because of them things now?" He turns around and is shocked to see Abram actually walking, the exact same as he was before. "Abram, why aren't you resting, you're recovering from a heart attack?" Ivan says with shock "yeah I'm fine, can I have a cigarette?" "No you can't dammit it might finish you off!" Ivan is dangerously concerned "you know what fine I'll go rest..." Abram shuffles off back to his room. Ivan yells after him "press your alert button if you need me!"
Stevie comes down the stairs,bleeding.
Ivan runs over to him "Jesus are you ok?" "I've seen better days.. you're a medic right? Can you patch me up?" "Fine" Ivan takes Stevie back to his room and bandages him up.
Part way through Stevie notices the old diary on the table "hey what's that?" "Oh it's old man Abrams, he left it here in his last checkup but there's something you should-" Stevie cuts him off  "you gonna give it back to him? He's probably wondering where it is" Ivan sighs and tells him "I know I shouldn't have but I read some of the pages...." Stevie responds instantly "I would've done the same thing, but that's all you wanted to say?" "No I think you should take a look at this...." Ivan gives Stevie the book with two marked pages. Stevie opens them and reads the pages with the dates : August 12 1990 ; September 3 1990. Stevie says "so, you think these are real or do you think this is when he stared losing his rocker?" "Did you not see them things yesterday, that was obviously what he saw all them years ago!" Stevie admits he didn't see them but he mentions the nightmare and Ivan freezes "you had a nightmare too?" Both Stevie and Ivan sit there in silence for 10 minutes before Stevie finally says "what happened in it? We're you in those damned woods too?" "Yeah".
Ivan says "I was in the woods and I started running, I actually made it back to the apartment building but those things caught me and dragged me back, to the abandoned town in Abrams diary, I was in the chapel, saw dead people sat in the pews. Scattered organs and blood, but there was one, he looked different, more like them, and he was the one that ate me..... you know I saw you there too-" Stevie cuts him off "you saw me?" Ivan says "mutilated on the floor.... Then I woke up before they ate me.." Stevie looks at the wall "so they didn't eat me.....".
The two went their separate ways and Ivan sat there, alone.
After a while they hear a loud noise downstairs, those creatures are breaking into the stairwell. Ivan, Stevie and a few other residents rush out to see the commotion. Stevie is the fist to act dragging a cabinet from his room and he throws it down the stairs to block the door. Soon enough the other residents stake suit and follow through, blocking the door. The residents feel happier than they've felt in a while and actually feel accomplished for once. Until they heard a scream, coming from outside, all the residents rush to their windows or windows on the corridor to see what was going on outside. Ivan ram through his room tripping over his bed and hitting his head on his radiator "why is this thing here it doesn't even work-" Ivan cut himself off when he realised the impact actually turned on the radiator, but this was no time to be excited, someone could be in danger , Ivan climbs and looks out the window and realises what is going on, those creatures have broken into the neighbouring apartment complex, сладкий, and are now ravaging the people who live inside.
One neighbour, unrecognisable in the dark night sky was pounced upon by three of the creatures, although their traits were unrecognisable in the dark night sky the creatures appeared smaller than the others Ivan had seen, the three creatures were all grabbing the silhouette at other points, one holding the unknown human by its shoulder, another holding it by the humans hip and the third one on a leg. The guy was thrashing around as a blood curdling scream rang out for 5 minutes until. Pop. The creatures ripped him in half, with one ripping off one of the legs.
That night Ivan sat up for hours, wondering who had just been mutilated outside his window. He wondered if it was all connected, the mystery of Редмаркет, the abandoned town, the military, the doors being soldered shut, he wondered and wondered until his conciseness eventually slipped away and he woke up the next day
